You DON’T need to go to the gym 6 days a week if you hate it.

But you do have to MOVE. Our bodies are made for movement, and without it, they don’t function the way they’re meant to.

So what’s the solution?

Find something you’ll actually stick to.

Join a yoga class twice a week.
Dance. Try Zumba on YouTube. Go for short walks post dinner. Play badminton in your Society!

It doesn’t have to be intense.
It just has to be CONSISTENT.

exercise isn’t just about weight — it’s about your muscles, bones, metabolism and staying independent as you age.

Find something you enjoy. Then keep showing up :)

Your period has enough drama. You don’t need to add Google to it. 🤡

Save this for the next time your uterus decides to confuse you.🥺

Drop your questions for part 2!

Your periods are perfectly regular

Imagine a girl with severe, painful periods who keeps going to the doctor and keeps getting painkillers prescribed — but nobody ever does the examination or a transva**nal scan that could actually help identify the cause.

This can happen when we make assumptions about what an unmarried woman will or won’t consent to.

Endometriosis, va**nal cysts and several other gynaecological conditions may require a va**nal examination or a transva**nal ultrasound as part of the assessment.

The point is simple: ask the patient, don’t decide for her.
Consent is all that matters, not marital status!

Apparently, being 13 is now a medical complaint. 😂

On a serious note, Follow for actual facts, not just teenage drama.

A faint line on a pregnancy test — neither clearly positive, nor negative. Confusing, right?

Here’s what’s actually happening.

Urine pregnancy tests detect a hormone called beta hCG — the pregnancy hormone. When this hormone is present in very low amounts, the test shows a faint line instead of a strong one.

To know exactly what’s going on, we check the same hormone in your blood — this is called a serum beta hCG test.

We repeat this blood test twice, 48 hours apart. The trend — whether the levels are rising, falling, or staying the same — tells us which of three things is happening:

1️⃣ A very early pregnancy — levels will keep rising, and the test will turn properly positive in a few days.
2️⃣ An ectopic pregnancy — a pregnancy implanted outside the uterus, usually in the fallopian tube.
3️ A failing pregnancy — also called a biochemical pregnancy, a very early miscarriage.

Along with the blood test, we also do a transva**nal sonography — an ultrasound scan done through the va**na, which helps confirm exactly where the pregnancy is.

Why does this matter so much? Because ectopic pregnancies are dangerous, and easy to miss if a faint line is ignored. Left undiagnosed, it can lead to rupture — a genuine medical emergency, and can even be fatal.

A faint line is not something to sit on. Get it checked properly.

“Does the size matter? Is that why I’m not getting pregnant?” — a question asked with hesitation and embarrassment, right at the end of the consultation, just as they’re about to exit.

If I had a rupee for every time this happened…

Short answer — no.
Long answer —
As long as the p***s can get hard, and s***m is released inside the va**na, that’s enough for a pregnancy.

A lot of the time, what looks “small” is actually a buried p***s — normal size, just sitting under some fat tissue.

So what actually determines male fertility?

1️⃣ Semen analysis — always the first step. Checks s***m count, movement, and shape.
2️⃣ Lifestyle — smoking, drinking, weight — all of it affects your s***m.
3️⃣ Regular in*******se — even great s***m needs the right timing and frequency.
4️⃣ Varicocele — swollen veins in the ball sack (sc***um).

Things that can actually help improve fertility:
🔸 Avoid heat exposure to the sc***um — hot baths, laptop on lap
🔸 Wear loose underwear instead of tight briefs
🔸 Quit smoking, limit alcohol and 🌿
🔸 Maintain a healthy weight, exercise
🔸 Manage stress and get enough sleep
🔸 Eat a balanced, antioxidant-rich diet

There are rare exceptions like microp***s (stretched length under 7.5 cm), hypospadias, or curvature problems that make pe*******on difficult — in that case, treatment such as IUI (intrauterine insemination) can help, since it places s***m directly inside the uterus.

Skip the measuring tape. Get a semen analysis done instead.

Jokes aside, surgery isn’t a race. The priority is always a safe operation, a good outcome, and a patient who goes home healthy.

Today’s case was a Vaginal Hysterectomy (Uterus removal surgery)

Fun fact: not all uterus removal surgeries require a cut on the belly.
Over the years, especially after multiple childbirths, the support structures of the uterus can weaken, causing it to gradually descend and sometimes even hang outside the body.

In many such cases, we can remove the uterus through the va**nal route itself, avoiding any cuts on the abdomen.

There’s faster recovery, no scar, and the va**nal laxity is repaired too, improving her sexual health as well

What surgery would you like to know about next? 💫

God complex loading….
So how are we coping today?

The advantages of a younger doctor are rarely talked about.

More recent training.

More familiarity with current guidelines.

More willingness to question outdated practices.

More understanding of the realities modern women navigate—dating, contraception, fertility concerns, PCOS, body image, sexual health, career pressures, and the decision to have children later in life.

Medicine evolves constantly. Good doctors evolve with it.

Age and experience matter, but so do curiosity, empathy, accessibility, and the willingness to keep learning.

A younger doctor may not have decades in practice.

But they may have spent thousands of hours in training, hundreds of hours in surgery, and countless nights studying the latest evidence to provide the best care possible.

Because patients don’t just need experience.

They need a doctor who listens, stays updated, and meets them where they are.
