You may arrive at Athreya asking for Panchakarma.

That doesn’t mean Panchakarma starts on Day 1.

There is a consultation first.
An assessment of your constitution.
A preparation period the body genuinely
needs before any cleansing therapy begins.

The physician decides the sequence
— not a package,
not a printed brochure.

And as your body responds,
the plan is revisited.

At Athreya, the treatment follows the person.
The person doesn’t follow a package.

Guru Purnima is a celebration of gratitude, wisdom, and the timeless tradition of learning & healing.

In Ayurveda, few relationships are as revered as that of Acharya Punarvasu Atreya and his disciple Agnivesha. Through this sacred teacher-student lineage, the foundations of classical Ayurvedic medicine were preserved for future generations.

The teachings documented by Agnivesha later evolved into the Charaka Samhita, one of Ayurveda’s most respected classical texts and a guide that continues to shape authentic clinical practice even today.

At Athreya Ayurvedic Centre, our name is inspired by this enduring legacy. On this Guru Purnima, we offer our gratitude to every teacher, physician, and guide who has dedicated their lives to preserving the wisdom of Ayurveda.

Happy Guru Purnima.

Here’s what we won’t tell you.

No miracle claims. No overnight transformations. No promise
that Ayurveda replaces the treatment you’re already on.

We won’t tell you it works the same way for everyone, and we
won’t stay quiet if we don’t think it’s the right fit for you.

What we will tell you: 180 years spent paying attention to
what actually works — and being honest about the rest.

Can Panchakarma cure everything?

No !

It can meaningfully support & enhance quality of life in chronic conditions

Ayurveda has
treated for generations — joint pain, digestive disorders,
stress, fatigue, and much more. The list is long but very distinguished

It cannot replace treatment for every disease. We won’t tell
you otherwise.

At Athreya, we’ve spent 180 years learning the difference —
and we’ll tell you which is which before we tell you
anything else.

That’s not a disclaimer. That’s the whole point.

Take care of the body you live in. It’s the only one you get.

We say it often because it’s easy to forget
— especially when life rewards speed, output, and pushing through.
The body keeps score quietly.

Poor sleep, skipped meals, stress carried too long
— none of it announces itself immediately.

By the time it does, it’s usually asking for more time to heal than it would have taken to simply listen earlier.

Ayurveda isn’t about chasing anything.
It’s about paying attention
— to what your body is already telling you,
before it has to tell you loudly.

You treat the rogi — not just the roga.

The person. Not just the disease.
A scan shows what’s broken. A true Vaidya sees what’s out of balance
— the sleep that slipped, the mind that couldn’t rest, the fire (agni) that dimmed long before the symptom arrived.

For 06 generations, that has been our way of seeing.
Not treating the illness in front of us, but the whole person carrying it.

To every Vaidya who chose understanding over shortcuts,
and healing over recognition — Happy National Doctors’ Day.

The part most people were never taught.

What the modern world calls "yoga"
is just one limb.
The posture.
The third of eight parts .

The mat is real.
The stretching is real.
But it was always a doorway —
into breath, stillness, discipline of the mind,
and finally, silence & bliss.

Yama. Niyama. Asana. Pranayama.
Pratyahara. Dharana. Dhyana. Samadhi.

Eight limbs.
One science.

And beside it stands Ayurveda —
its sister.
Both are for the mind &
the body. Both from the same root.

At Athreya, we have never taught
one without the other since our inception.

Lessons from our heritage of 180 years.

Save this.
Share it with someone
who thinks yoga ends at the mat. 🙏🏽

Ever noticed how eating the same meal at different times can leave you feeling completely different?

That's because digestion isn't driven only by what you eat . It also depends on when you eat.

Ayurveda has recognized this for thousands of years. As the day progresses, your digestive strength changes. Eating in harmony with your body's natural digestive capacity can make a noticeable difference in how you feel after every meal.

Small shifts in timing can support:
• Less heaviness after meals
• Better digestion
• More sustained energy
• Greater comfort throughout the day

Sometimes, improving digestion doesn't begin with changing your diet. It begins with changing your clock.

Swipe through to understand why meal timing matters.
