Awareness cm counseling programme on Su***de Prevention was conducted today on 22 May 2026 by the District Mental Health Programme (DMHP) Kulgam. The programme focused on creating awareness regarding mental health, early identification of warning signs of su***de, stress management, emotional well-being, and the importance of seeking timely professional help. Participants were also counseled on coping strategies, family support, and available mental health services. The programme aimed to promote awareness, reduce stigma related to mental illness, and encourage a supportive community environment for su***de prevention.

Awareness cm counseling program on Suicidal Ideation and mental health was conducted by the District Mental Health Unit, DH Kulgam at Government Higher Sec. School Bugam today on 15th May 2026.
The program focused on su***de prevention, early identification of emotional distress, stress management, and the importance of seeking timely psychological support. Students and staff were sensitized about mental health awareness, coping skills, and available mental health services under the District Mental Health Programme.

Awareness program on Su***de Prevention, Drug de Addiction held at Government Degree college kulgam.

Today on 12th May 2026, an awareness program on su***de prevention and drug de-addiction was conducted at Government Degree College Kulgam by the District Mental Health Unit, District Hospital Kulgam.
The programme aimed to educate students about the importance of mental health, early identification of emotional distress, prevention of substance abuse, and the need to seek timely psychological support. Awareness regarding stress management, healthy coping skills, and available mental health services was also shared with the participants.
The session was conducted by the District Mental Health Unit DH Kulgam as part of ongoing mental health awareness and su***de prevention initiatives in the district.

The resource persons for the program were Mr Irshad Ahmad Clinical Psychologist and Saleem Yousf psychiatric Social worker.

Under the Nasha Mukth Bharat Abhiyan program, today on 9th May 2026, the District Mental Health Unit DH Kulgam under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Kulgam and Medical Superintendent DH Kulgam conducted an awareness-cum-counseling programme on drug de-addiction and mental health at Government Degree college kilam.
The programme aimed to create awareness regarding the harmful effects of substance abuse, importance of mental well-being, early identification of psychological issues, and available treatment and counseling services. Students and staff were sensitized about adopting a healthy lifestyle and seeking timely help for mental health and addiction-related concerns.
