Why “Forest Bathing” is more than just a trend??

Forest Bathing = Slow, mindful time in the woods. Not hiking, not exercising… just being with trees.

What research says:
1. Lowers stress hormones (like cortisol) and calms the nervous system

2.Reduces blood pressure and heart rate, supporting heart health

3. Improves mood: less anxiety, depression, anger, fatigue; more vigor and calm

4. Boosts immune function: increases natural killer (NK) cell activity and improves immune markers

5. Helps sleep quality and overall sense of well-being

Simple Practice:
20–30 minutes in a forest or green space, 1–2 times/week.
Switch off phone, walk slowly, breathe deeply, notice sights, sounds, smells.

Think of it as Green Therapy with No Appointment needed😊😊

Keep your snacking clean with cleanest ingredients possible

India’s snack culture has changed drastically over few years: More fried, packaged and ultra-processed foods are showing up in daily eating patterns, while healthier food choices still remain lower.

Packaged namkeens like sev, farsan, and other salty snacks can contribute disproportionately to energy and sodium intake.

How oily are your curries and veggies?

A little oil is essential for cooking, some imp functions , absorption of fat soluble vitamins but too much can quietly turn a healthy meal into a unhealthy one.

Excess oil adds hidden calories, may promote weight gain, worsen lipid levels, and make blood sugar management harder, especially when meals already contain refined carbs.

For adults, a practical daily target is about 4–5 teaspoons of oil (visible fat) total from all cooking, depending on body size, activity, and health goals.

Choose oils wisely: Mustard, groundnut, rice bran, sesame, coconut, avocado oil can be used in rotation, based on the recipe and region.

The key is not just the oil type, but also the quantity used.

Prefer steaming, sautéing, stir-frying, or pressure-cooking over deep-frying, and measure oil instead of pouring freely.

Healthy food becomes unhealthy when oil goes unchecked.

Opt for less oil, more taste should come from spices, herbs, onion, tomato, ginger, garlic, and traditional tempering.

Mindful cooking is very very important for good health and wellbeing.

Remember: Extra oil does not make a dish healthier; it only makes it more calorie-dense, which may contribute to unhealthy weight gain and worsen cardiometabolic risk over time.
