Many adults spend years wondering why they struggle with trust, emotional regulation, self-worth, or relationships without realizing the roots may lie in childhood experiences.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are not just "bad memories." Research shows they can influence mental, emotional, and physical health across the lifespan.

The good news? Healing is possible. Understanding your experiences is often the first step toward breaking patterns and building resilience.

Mental health isn't determined by who you love or how you identify. It's profoundly shaped by how society treats you.

Many of the mental health challenges experienced by LGBTQIA+ individuals stem from discrimination, rejection, bullying, and minority stressโ€”not from their identity itself.

This Pride Month, let's replace myths with evidence, judgment with empathy, and stigma with understanding. ๐ŸŒˆ

Which myth have you heard most often? Let us know below ๐Ÿ‘‡

Living with an autoimmune disease is not only physically exhausting - it can affect mental health in profound ways too.

Research has consistently shown a bidirectional relationship between autoimmune diseases and depression, meaning both can influence and worsen each other.

One possible reason is chronic inflammation. Inflammation associated with autoimmune conditions may also affect brain functioning, mood, fatigue, stress response, and emotional regulation.

At the same time, chronic stress, anxiety, and depression can dysregulate immune functioning and contribute to worsening symptoms or flare-ups.

This is why mental health support should not be treated as โ€œextraโ€ care in chronic illness. It is part of healthcare.

๐ŸŒˆ Pride Month is a celebration of identity, authenticity, resilience, and the right to exist as your true self.

While Pride is a time of joy and visibility, it is also important to acknowledge the mental health challenges that many LGBTQIA+ individuals continue to face due to stigma, discrimination, social exclusion, and lack of acceptance.

Research consistently shows that q***r individuals experience higher rates of anxiety, depression, and psychological distress - not because of who they are, but because of the environments they often have to navigate.

This Pride Month, let's move beyond rainbow logos and focus on creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, seen, and valued. ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’œ
