When the Mind Becomes a Clear Crystal
Yoga Sūtra 1.41 | Samāpatti
When the fluctuations of the mind have greatly diminished, Patañjali compares the mind to a pure crystal—clear, steady and capable of reflecting whatever it rests upon.
This is Samāpatti: deep one-pointed absorption in the knower, the process of knowing, or the known object.
It is not about making the mind blank or merging with an object. It is about reducing our own mental interference so that we can experience with greater clarity.
A restless mind sees everything through itself.
A clear mind allows the object to reveal itself.
🌿 From the journey:

YS 1.41 — Mastery → Transparency
YS 1.42 — The refinement of Samāpatti begins.
