बच्चेदानी के मुँह का कैंसर, आतों में गाँठें और फिर थायरॉइड में भी कैंसर की पुष्टि होने के बाद, किसी का भी मनोबल टूट सकता है। लेकिन श्रीमती प्रीति मल्होत्रा ने अपनी हिम्मत नहीं हारी। उनके इलाज की जंग में उनका साथ दिया अपोलोमेडिक्स अस्पताल के कैंसर विभाग के अनुभवी और जुझारू डॉक्टरों की टीम ने। इन डॉक्टरों के सामंजस्यपूर्ण प्रयासों और प्रीति जी के अडिग हौसले के कारण अंततः कैंसर हार गया। आइए, सुनते हैं प्रीति जी का अनुभव।

कानपुर के वयोवृद्ध - श्री लखन कुशवाहा के हाथ में जब सूजन बढ़ने लगी तब उन्हें ये बिलकुल भी अंदेशा नहीं था कि ये कैंसर हो सकता है. जब ये बहुत बढ़ गयी तो एक परिचित के कहने पर वे अपोलोमेडिक्स अस्पताल आए जहां कैंसर सर्जन - डॉ. हर्षित श्रीवास्तव से उन्होंने परामार्श किया. जाँच में पता चला की ये Giant Cell Tumor था जिसका इलाज केवल सर्जरी द्वारा सम्भव था। अधिक उम्र और साथ में हृदय के रोगी - लखनजी की सर्जरी बहुत चुनतिपूर्ण थी. डॉ. हर्षित ने इसे सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न किया और इसके बाद हड्डी रोग विशेषज्ञ - डॉ. कमल किशोर ने उनकी हड्डी का पुनर्निर्माण किया. आज इनका हाथ काफ़ी हद्द तक सामान्य हो चुका है और वे अपना सभी कार्य स्वयं करने लगे हैं। आइए सुनते है मरीज़ से उनका अनुभव।

योनि से मवाद के स्राव से परेशान लखीमपुर निवासी श्रीमती वैष्णो देवी ने स्थानीय अस्पताल में जाँच करायी तो उन्हें पता चला कि उन्हें बच्चेदानी के मुख का कैंसर (Cervical Cancer) है। इलाज के लिए उन्हें अपोलोमेडिक्स अस्पताल, लखनऊ रेफ़र किया गया जहां रेडियीथेरेपी विशेषज्ञ - डॉ. नबीला अंजुम ने उनका सफल इलाज किया। कीमोथेरेपी तथा रेडियोथेरेपी (सिकाई) के नियमित इलाज के चलते अब वैष्णो देवी बिलकु स्वस्थ हैं, उनका इलाज समाप्त हुए 6 माह बीत चुके हैं और उनकी किसी भी जाँच में कैंसर नहीं पाया गया है। आइए सुनते है वैष्णो देवी से उनका अनुभव।

हड्डी स्कैन (Bone Scan) एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रक्रिया है जिसका उपयोग हड्डियों में होने वाली समस्याओं का निदान करने के लिए किया जाता है। इस प्रक्रिया में, शरीर में एक छोटी मात्रा में रेडियोधर्मी सामग्री इंजेक्ट की जाती है, जो हड्डियों में जमा हो जाती है। इसके बाद, एक विशेष कैमरे की मदद से हड्डियों की तस्वीरें ली जाती हैं। हड्डी स्कैन का उपयोग विभिन्न स्थितियों की पहचान के लिए किया जा सकता है, जैसे:
