Yes! What you eat and drink can play an important role in reducing the risk of kidney stones.

Here are some simple habits to keep in mind:
💧 Stay well hydrated and drink enough water throughout the day.
🧂 Limit excess salt and highly processed foods.
🥩 Avoid excessive intake of animal protein.
🥬 If you are prone to calcium oxalate stones, your doctor may advise limiting high-oxalate foods such as spinach, nuts and peanuts.
🥛 Don’t unnecessarily cut out dietary calcium — the right amount of calcium from food can actually help in preventing certain stones.
