Dark neck is not always dirt.
If the skin around your neck, underarms, or thigh folds is becoming thick, velvety, and darker over time, it may be more than just pigmentation.
This condition is called Acanthosis Nigricans and is commonly linked with insulin resistance.
Insulin helps control sugar levels in the body.
But when insulin levels stay high for long periods, the skin can start becoming thick and dark — especially in body folds.
Creams and treatments may help improve the pigmentation.
But long-term improvement also needs lifestyle changes.
Walking, gym, cycling, swimming, jogging — any physical activity that moves your muscles can help reduce insulin resistance.
Because skin health often reflects internal health too.
No movement = No permanent results.
That’s the rule.
