๐ŸŽค **He says it perfectly at home... but goes silent at school.**

If your child confidently recites rhymes at home but freezes during mic activities, struggles to speak in front of classmates, or becomes too anxious to answer in class, it may not be a lack of abilityโ€”it could be a lack of self-confidence and performance anxiety.

With the right support, children can learn to manage anxiety, build confidence, and express themselves without fear.

At **Global Child Wellness Centre**, our **CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) for Children & Adolescents** helps children:

When your child with ADHD shouts, it's easy to react with frustrationโ€”but remember, they're often struggling with big emotions, not trying to be difficult. ๐Ÿ’™

Instead of reacting in the moment, focus on building skills that help them succeed:

โœจ Create a predictable routine
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Give clear, simple instructions
๐ŸŒŸ Praise positive behaviors
๐Ÿงฉ Break tasks into smaller, manageable steps
๐ŸŽฏ Set realistic expectations
โค๏ธ Teach and model emotional regulation

Every calm response from you helps your child learn how to stay calm too. Progress won't happen overnight, but with patience, consistency, and understanding, your child can develop the tools they need to thrive.

๐Ÿ‘€ **Signs Your Child May Be Mouth Breathing**

Watch for these common signs:

โŒ Mouth open at rest
โŒ Lips apart during sleep
โŒ Snoring or noisy breathing
โŒ Dark circles under the eyes
โŒ Restless sleep or bedwetting
โŒ Crowded baby teeth
โŒ Constant runny or blocked nose
โŒ Chewing with the mouth open
โŒ Tiredness or hyperactivity during the day

โธป

๐Ÿง  **What Parents Should Do**

๐Ÿ‘ƒ **Step 1: Check the Nose**
Is your child's nose clear? Allergies, enlarged tonsils/adenoids, or chronic congestion can make nasal breathing difficult.

๐Ÿ‘… **Step 2: Assess Oral Function**
Tongue posture, lip seal, tongue-tie, chewing, and swallowing patterns all play an important role in healthy breathing and development.

๐Ÿฉบ **Step 3: Get a Comprehensive Assessment**
A multidisciplinary evaluation may include a Myofunctional Therapist, Pediatric Dentist/Orthodontist, ENT Specialist, Speech Therapist, and Occupational Therapist.

โธป

๐Ÿ‘… **How Myofunctional Therapy Helps**

Myofunctional Therapy retrains the muscles of the face, tongue, and airway through targeted exercises to:

โœ… Support healthy nasal breathing
โœ… Improve tongue posture and lip seal
โœ… Promote proper jaw and facial development
โœ… Stabilize the airway
โœ… Improve sleep quality, focus, and overall development

โธป

โœจ **Mouth breathing is not just a habitโ€”itโ€™s a sign that something needs attention.**

If these signs sound familiar, don't ignore them. Early intervention can make a lasting difference.
