Christian Dental College is part of the Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society, which was established in the year 1992 with the untiring efforts of Dr. J. The Primary aim for establishing the Christian Dental College was to train young individuals as professionals who would be motivated to take up working in needy parts (dentally challenged areas) of India through Mission fields and other sponsoring agencies.

The Christian Dental College ITI Institutional Study Club successfully conducted an academic session on "Simplifying Guided Bone Regeneration for Day-to-Day Clinical Application" by Dr. Mihir Kulkarni, MDS, Periodontist and Implantologist, and Young ITI Delegate.

The interactive session provided practical insights into guided bone regeneration, focusing on evidence-based concepts and their application in everyday implant practice. Faculty members, postgraduate students, and interns actively participated in the discussion, making it a valuable learning experience for all attendees.

We sincerely thank Dr. Mihir Kulkarni for sharing his expertise and contributing to the continued academic growth of our ITI Study Club.

The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), in collaboration with the Department of Orthodontics, performs advanced orthognathic (jaw correction) surgeries to reposition the maxilla and mandible, correcting skeletal deformities while improving facial aesthetics, bite, speech, and chewing function.

This patient with maxillary deficiency underwent pre-surgical orthodontic alignment followed by digitally planned Le Fort I maxillary advancement under general anesthesia. The repositioned maxilla was stabilized with titanium miniplates, while orthodontic wires and elastics maintained the corrected occlusion during healing, resulting in excellent functional and aesthetic outcomes.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Yogaen Vohra (Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) with the team from the Department of Anesthesia and the OT staff, and the orthodontic treatment was managed by Dr. Anshul Chaudhry (Department of Orthodontics).

Patients with complex skeletal malocclusions and jaw deformities can be referred to Christian Dental College for comprehensive orthodontic-surgical management.
