Sangeeth Hospital Keeping You Well since 1992 Started as a out patient clinic on 13th July 1982 by Dr. Geetha S Prabhu and Dr Sasanga R Prabhu.

For over 10 years they had been serving the population of west kochi and had gathered the love and affection of the people. Due to popular demand it was converted into a 10 bedded Sangeeth Nursing Home on 12th November 1992. Since then other specialities like general medicine, general surgery, Pediatrics, orthopaedics, dermatology, dentistry etc have joined and within no time the hospital was know

n for its diverse specialities. Now the hospital provides state of the art health care and has also incorporated facilities like laparoscopic surgery and infertility treatment. Children often ignore the urge to use the toilet because they don’t want to interrupt playtime, are uncomfortable using unfamiliar bathrooms, or remember that passing stools was painful before.
Unfortunately, holding in stools makes them stay in the bowel longer, causing them to become harder and drier. This creates a cycle where bowel movements become even more painful, leading the child to avoid going to the toilet again.

Watch for these signs:
• Crossing their legs or standing on tiptoes
• Hiding or squatting when they need to pass stool
• Complaining of tummy pain
• Passing hard, painful stools
• Having fewer bowel movements than usual

Encourage your child to drink plenty of water, eat fiber-rich foods, and develop a regular toilet routine—especially after meals. Positive encouragement and patience can go a long way in establishing healthy bowel habits.

If constipation persists or your child continues to avoid passing stools, consult a pediatrician. Early treatment can break the cycle and help your child return to comfortable, healthy bowel movements.
