Newborn jaundice is usually related to the baby’s immature liver and increased breakdown of red blood cells—not because the mother ate a particular food.

🍲 Mothers do not need to follow unnecessary food restrictions to prevent jaundice.

The most important thing? Frequent and effective breastfeeding to help the baby pass bilirubin through urine and stool.
