What looked like a union fracture… wasn’t.

An infected neck femur fracture can sometimes hide in plain sight.
Pain persists. Appetite drops. Healing slows.

The moment the fracture site was opened, the real picture became clear.
Samples were sent for culture and GeneXpert testing to rule out infections, including TB.

Not every non-union is mechanical.
Sometimes, the problem is infection.
