*Executive Summary*
On 5th June 2026, the Department of Dravyaguna Vigyana organized the World Environment Day celebration at Merchant Ayurveda College, Basna, Mehsana. The theme for this year's observance was “Protect Biodiversity: Every Species Matters.”
The programme commenced at 10:00 AM in the Department of Dravyaguna Vigyana, where students prepared and presented posters highlighting the importance of biodiversity conservation and environmental protection.
Following the poster presentation, a plantation programme was conducted at the Rushivan Herbal Garden of Merchant Ayurveda College. The plantation drive was inaugurated by Dr. Sudesh Lamoria, Head of the Department of Prasutitantra and Streeroga. On this occasion, a brief message emphasizing the significance of environmental conservation and biodiversity protection was delivered by the student Kaksha.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, reflecting their commitment towards environmental sustainability. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Amalu Joy.
