🌿 World Su***de Prevention Day | 10 September

SOME BATTLES MAKE NO SOUND.

Not everyone who is struggling looks broken.
Some people keep going to work.
They laugh. They make plans.
They answer, “I'm fine.”

And yet, somewhere inside,
they may be exhausted from carrying
what nobody knows they are carrying.

So today, don't just ask someone,
“Are you okay?”

Ask again.
“How are you really?”

And when they finally tell you,
don't rush to fix them.
Don't judge.
Don't minimise their pain.
Stay. Listen. Take them seriously.

You don't need perfect words.
Sometimes, your presence is the first reason
someone feels they don't have to face
the darkness alone.

A conversation can open a door.
Compassion can keep it open.
Connection can save a life.

🕊️ Today, let's make it easier to speak about pain and safer to ask for help.

The answer is not always to think harder.
Sometimes, the way forward is to change what we do with our thoughts.
1.Pause
2. Breathe
3. Write it down
4. Separate what you can control from what you cannot.
5. Give your mind a limited space to worry
6. Come back to the present

The problem may not be the presence of thoughts themselves, but our repeated attempts to resolve, control, neutralize or find certainty about them. The goal is to learn that we don't have to solve every uncertainty inside our minds.

The goal is not to stop thinking.
The goal is to learn that we don't have to solve every uncertainty inside our minds. Sometimes the healthiest response is: “I don't have all the answers right now — and I can still be okay.”
Because peace doesn't always come from finding the perfect answer. Sometimes, it comes from learning to live with “I don't know.”

Unnatural calm is not peace.
It’s the silence that comes after fighting too many battles alone.
Sometimes the most dangerous place to be is not sadness, not anger, not chaos but the absence of feeling anything at all.
