Prostatic Artery Embolisation (PAE) is an advanced, minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure performed by an Interventional Radiologist to treat BPH. During the procedure, a tiny catheter is introduced through a small puncture in the wrist or groin and guided to the arteries supplying the prostate gland. Tiny particles are then injected to block these blood vessels, reducing the blood supply to the prostate. Over time, the prostate shrinks, relieving urinary obstruction and improving symptoms.
