Long post alert!
Rakhi always was one of my most favourite festivals since childhood. I was the only sister to two elder brothers, had so many male cousins and I was their only in town sister. Rakhi meant so much attention, so much love and of course so many gifts.
But, somewhere as we grew up, life happened. Relationships changed, priorities differed and basically some of us lost touch.
Chutku ( Shivendra) and I try to spend as many rakhis together as we can, but last year he missed his flight to come surprise me and we both had the most sulky rakhi.
This year, not only did he come but we managed to pull off a full family reunion.
For so many years I have missed a big family, after losing mamma I thought this was just a farfetched dream.
But this rakhi so many of my cousins came from all over India just to spend rakhi with us. It really meant the world to me.
Last few days were spent in love, laughter and making unforgettable memories. Thank you my chutku bhaiya for always being my strongest anchor come what may.
My heart is so full. ❤️🧿🫶
