This is Patella Femoral Taping introduced by Jenny McConnell. It's a great taping technique used mainly for Patella tracking issues. It aligns the Patella in different positions, here we have shown the lateral glide correction tape. We can also use it for Chrondomalacia Patella, Fat Pad Impingement Patella, OA Patella. This technique brings the Patella to neutral (medial glide as it's tracked into lateral glide ). It thus activates the medial quads better, loosens the lateral structures and offloads the fat pad and thus reduces pain whilst climbing stairs, squatting etc. A good tape to help reduce the pain and activate the inefficient medial muscles for better function

I love this exercise!
It’s a total body exercise challenging the upper body stability(scapula and shoulder), core strength and stability (obliques and lateral abdominals) and lower body muscles (glutes and legs). The single arm side plank position and lifting the dumbbell with the other arm not only works on the shoulder strength but also challenges the core muscles a lot more to stabilise when you move the arms up and down with the weights.
It’s a really feel good exercise 💪🏻

This tape for the ankle works really well post ankle sprains (ligament injuries) to provide ankle stability, better proprioception, improve rehab capacity and thus prevent recurrent ankle sprains. However, as we always mention that tape is a temporary solution. Rehabilitation and exercise are an important aspect for recovery and a return to activities. They may vary depending on the injury.
Recurrent ankle sprains may cause loss of joint integrity at the ankle due to inefficient passive control. It can cause excessive opening of the inferior tib-fib joint or increased taker movements within the ankle mortice. This may result into pain, stiffness or reduced mobility maybe even impingement. This tape helps to keep the talus into the mortice (alignment), increases stability and gives better proprioception so that rehab can be done efficiently
Please note - taping without exercise is a waste of time and gives false proprioception leading to recurrence. Try it for those who need this.
