Message from his corneal transplant team:

We were successful in transplanting Puneet eyes
To 4 Cornea blind patients today
We used a very advanced technique of dissection of
Anterior stroma and just the endothelial layer
Stroma was transplanted on
2 patients with stromal scar
Other 2 endothelium were
Transplanted usikg a technique
Called Descemets stripping
Endothelial keratoplasty
( Dsek) where only endothelial
Cells are transplanted
So eventually one cornea was eligible For two patients
for the transplant
Scleral rim was sent to our
Stem cell lab for makikg
IPSC stem cells / Limbal stem cells , used for chemical injuries
Or Steven Johnson eye related
