👁️ Try these simple habits instead:

• 💡 Keep a soft light on while using your phone at night
• 🌙 Turn on Night Shift / Eye Comfort mode
• 🔅 Reduce your screen brightness to a comfortable level
• 📱 Keep your phone at a reasonable distance from your face
• 👀 Follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds
• 😌 Remember to blink regularly, especially during long scrolling sessions
• 🛌 Avoid prolonged screen use right before bedtime for better sleep

Your eyes don’t need darkness + a bright screen. Give them a little balance.

Cataract + glaucoma? There may be more to the conversation than cataract surgery alone. 👁️

MIGS, or minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, is designed to lower intraocular pressure with less invasive techniques than traditional glaucoma surgery.

For selected patients, combining MIGS with cataract surgery may help with pressure control and potentially reduce dependence on glaucoma medications.

But MIGS is not automatically the right choice for every glaucoma patient. The type and stage of glaucoma, target pressure, medications and individual anatomy all matter.

The right surgery isn’t the one that sounds most advanced.
It’s the one that’s right for your eye.

Cataract surgery can feel intimidating, but knowing what to expect makes all the difference. Here are 7 honest truths every patient needs to hear before going into surgery:
1️⃣ It’s completely okay to blink. Your eyelids are gently held open during the procedure—you don’t have to worry about fighting the urge.
2️⃣ You don’t have to keep your eye perfectly still. Small movements happen. Your surgeon will guide your vision and keep your eye stabilized throughout.
3️⃣ You shouldn’t feel pain. You may feel slight pressure or see bright lights, but local anesthesia keeps you comfortable. If you feel discomfort, speak up!
4️⃣ Nervousness is totally normal. You can be excited to regain clear vision and still feel anxious about the process. Both feelings are valid.
5️⃣ You don’t need to know what to do. That’s your surgeon’s job. They will give you clear, step-by-step instructions as it happens.
6️⃣ Ask the “sneeze” question. “What if I move?” “What will I see?” No question is silly, and asking helps ease your mind.
7️⃣ It is surgery, but you’re in expert hands. Every procedure carries risks, which is why your surgeon plans meticulously to manage your unique eye health.

Think you know your eyes? Think again. 👀

Some of the things we casually believe about eye health are actually myths—or only half the story.

Mascara has an expiry date.
Rubbing your eyes isn’t as innocent as it feels.
Watery eyes can actually be a sign of dryness.
And having 20/20 vision doesn’t mean everything inside your eyes is perfectly healthy.

Even LASIK doesn’t mean your eyes will never change again.

And yes… you can eat all the carrots you want, but they won’t magically give you perfect vision. 🥕

Your eyes deserve more than assumptions.
They deserve attention, protection and regular check-ups.
