Its the end of the year which we were waiting to come to an end ,fortunately got to do a procedure which we used to do in our residency “The Fothergill’s Manchester surgery”while I was operating it struck me as an analogy that the old redundant cervix which is cut and the neocervix is created in the procedure similarly the past has to be cut and thrown away and the new normal is created.The Fothergill's stitch also depicts that the Mackenrodt’s ligaments though cut ash the ends are brought together in the centre to give a support similarly though everyone has been maintaining social distancing and being the ends apart the efforts have all brought us close together to fight this dreaded battle against coronavirus.I wish you all to have a safe and a happy new year

PCOS is an endocrine and a metabolic disorder that affects body well beyond ovaries. Diagnosed generally during adolescence and most of the time over diagnosed on ultrasound. The criteria for diagnosis has thus been fixed and consists of 1) irregular periods 2) increased male hormones 3) polycystic morphology of ovaries on ultrasound. It may lead to infertility, Diabetes, miscarriages, metabolic syndromes. Since its labelled as a lifestyle disorder,a simple lifestyle modification can do the magic. So wear the teal as having PCOS is no longer a big deal.
