"My periods are SO irregular, ugh!" 🙋‍♀️
Sound familiar? You're not alone — this is one of the most common things I hear in my clinic.
It could be PCOS (Polycystic O***y Syndrome) — a condition where your ovaries grow extra little follicles and your hormones go a bit haywire. 🌸
Some signs to watch for:
🔸 Irregular periods
🔸 Acne
🔸 Weight changes
🔸 Extra hair growth
Here's the thing — PCOS is super common. About 1 in 10 women have it. You're not broken, and you're definitely not alone.
💗 PCOS is common, not scary. Talk to your gynaecologist — early care makes a real difference.
Have you experienced any of these signs?

🩸 PERIOD PAIN: NORMAL OR NOT?

Period cramps are common—but **severe or recurring pain should not be ignored.**

If your period pain is:
🚩 Severe or getting worse
🚩 Affecting your work, studies or daily activities
🚩 Happening between periods
🚩 Associated with pain during s*x or while passing urine/stools
🚩 Accompanied by unusually heavy or irregular periods
🚩 Not relieved by your usual measures

…it’s time to talk to your gynaecologist.👩‍⚕️

Conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids or ovarian cystscan sometimes be responsible for troublesome period pain.

🌸 Listen to your body. Don’t normalise suffering every month. Early evaluation can lead to the right diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

FOGSI Abhaya Day 2026 — A Stand for Safety, Dignity & Justice
Today, on FOGSI Abhaya Day, we came together not merely to remember, but to stand together and raise our voices against violence and injustice.
The day is a solemn reminder of the tragic loss of a young doctor and of the responsibility we all share to create workplaces and communities where every woman—and every healthcare professional—can live and work with safety, dignity and respect.
As doctors, we dedicate our lives to caring for others. Doctors deserve dignity. Healthcare professionals deserve safety. Every woman deserves freedom from fear.
The Abhaya Day initiative reminds us that silence cannot be the answer. We must speak up, stand together, demand accountability and work towards meaningful change.
Her courage. Our responsibility. Our promise.
Let us build an ABHAYA WORLD—
where women are SAFE. RESPECTED. EMPOWERED.
where doctors can serve without fear,
and where justice is not just demanded, but delivered.
Proud to stand with FOGSI and the medical fraternity on this important day. ❤️‍🩹
