The Chamber for Advancement of Small & Medium Businesses (CASMB) is pleased to be part of an important national dialogue on the future of skill-based education at the Two-Day National Conference on “Implementing Skill-Based Education under NEP 2020 for Viksit Bharat: Innovation, Employability and Entrepreneurship.”

Organised in the academic environment of Anekant Education Society’s Tuljaram Chaturchand College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Baramati, the conference brings together perspectives from the education, industry, entrepreneurship and professional ecosystem.

Dr. Umesh Kamble, Secretary General, CASMB (Chamber for Advancement of Small and Medium Businesses), met with Mr. Anil C. Ranveer, Scientist F / Director, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India.
The meeting focused on environmental regulatory matters and the Farm-to-Fork ecosystem, along with CASMB's ongoing work in coordination with the central environment department. The discussion was positive and constructive, with both sides expressing a firm commitment to working together going forward.

Food Processing Industry & the Future of Marathwada — An In-Depth Dialogue
MLA Shri Tushar Rathod today met Umesh Kamble (General Secretary, CASMB & Founder-Managing Director, Farm2Fork) and Vijay Gaikwad (Senior Agricultural Journalist).
The meeting featured an in-depth discussion on opportunities in the food processing industry, key policy considerations, and how value addition can be linked to farmers' produce. There was also extensive deliberation on the significant investment opportunities in Marathwada and planning for the road ahead.

A significant milestone for Marathwada's food processing and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Hon'ble Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Shri Chirag Paswan inaugurated the Common Incubation Centre (Jaggery, Sugarcane Juice & Spices Processing Unit) at Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth (VNMKV), Parbhani under the PMFME Scheme.

The occasion was graced by Smt. Meghana Bordikar-Sakore, Hon'ble Minister of State for Women & Child Development and Guardian Minister of Parbhani District; Dr. Indra Mani Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, VNMKV; Dr. Umesh Kamble, Founder, Farm to Fork Solutions and Secretary General, CASMB; Shri Satish Kolhe, Regional Regulatory Head, SAMEA; Shri Anmol Chidrawar, State Project Head, PMFME; and Shri Satish Bhorkade, Director, Flavosys.

The Centre will play a vital role in promoting value addition, food processing, skill development, and entrepreneurship among farmers, students, self-help groups, and aspiring entrepreneurs across the region.

On the first day of the 6th India Smart Datacenters & Cloud Infrastructure Summit and Awards 2024: Making India a Global Data Hub, prominent speakers graced the event and shared valuable insights:

🔸 Shri Niranjan Hiranandani, Past President, ASSOCHAM, cited, India’s vast data potential, surpassing that of the US and China. He noted the rapid growth of physical in Mumbai, predicting unprecedented development in the data center. “We can do it cheaper, we can do it better and we can do it faster.”

🔸Shri Sunil Gupta, Chair, ASSOCHAM National Council on Datacenter emphasized the role of data across all sectors. He stated that Data is the foundational resource that underpins almost every sector from to care to retail to entertainment to government to government activities and government to citizen-facing services. The digital pervasiveness is only becoming bigger, making India a digital-first economy leapfrogging us beyond every single largest global economy.”

🔸Shri Surajit Chatterjee, Co-Chair, ASSOCHAM National Council on Datacenter discussed the sector’s remarkable growth. He highlighted the increase from 350 MW pre-covid to over 800 MW, with projections to exceed 1,600 MW by 2026. He pointed out India’s position as an untapped global data hub with the lowest DC construction costs and a significant market for both hyper scalers and enterprises.

🔸Shri Manoj Paul, Co-chair, ASSOCHAM National Council on Datacenter, underlined the importance of data centers in India’s digital revolution. He noted their role in accelerating technology developments, promoting start-up innovation, improving government services, enabling remote employment and education, and boosting economic growth.

🔸Dr Umesh Kamble, Co-Chair, ASSOCHAM Maharashtra State Development Council (MSDC), concluded with a vote of thanks, emphasizing the need for robust data infrastructure to support the digital economy and to ensure compliance in meeting local demands.
