How to stay kind to people who are going through a tough time:

1] Stay Connected- Technology has made it easy for us to stay connected. So, use that to your advantage. We have our phones and laptops. Give someone a call. Reach out via social media. Try to check up on others. It helps when people know they are loved and appreciated.

2] Put on A Smiling Face- A smile could be all that a person needs to turn a bad day into a good one.

3] Render Help to Someone- Be kind even when you don’t have to. Hold out the door for the person behind you. Help someone fix a problem.

4] Speak kindly - Be deliberate about your choice of words. Even when someone uses harsh words on you, shock them by responding kindly.

Forget the generation wars, nothing unites Millennials and Gen Z quite like rewatching the same comfort show for the 15th time.

With 10,000+ streaming options at our fingertips, making a choice is exhausting. Turning on a familiar favorite isn’t about a lack of imagination; it's a shared cultural hack for mental health.

Why both generations crave those reruns:

1. Zero stress: No unexpected plot twists or sad endings to catch you off guard.

2. Autopilot mode: True cognitive rest where your brain doesn't have to think.

3. Instant nostalgia: A direct hit of comfort and familiarity when the real world feels chaotic.

Your endless rewatches aren't laziness. It’s an easy, accessible way to regulate your nervous system.

What is the one show you can watch on a loop forever? Tag a friend who does this!

Why does sending one email feel as stressful as running away from danger?

Because when an ADHD brain faces a task with zero instant reward, dopamine plummets, and the nervous system treats that boredom like an actual physical threat.
Result? Immediate freeze mode.

If you’re stuck in ADHD paralysis right now, stop trying to force the big task. Your brain needs a dopamine bridge to get there.

Enter the Dopamine Menu: tiny, 10-second micro-wins designed to kickstart your brain’s reward system without overwhelming it.
✨ Do a 10-second dance break.
✨ Check off ONE tiny, ridiculous step (like opening the laptop).
✨ Grab a cold drink.

The goal isn't to finish everything right now. The goal is just to break the freeze.

It looks like an ordinary chair, but in a psychology session, it’s a portal to emotional freedom.

Derived from Gestalt therapy, the Empty Chair Technique is an experiential exercise designed to resolve what psychologists call "unfinished business."

When we hold onto unsaid words, our nervous system carries that stress. By placing an empty chair in front of you, you can project who (or what) is causing you pain and talk directly to it.

It can represent:
1. An absent person (a past partner, a parent, or someone you’ve lost).
2. A part of yourself (your anxiety, your inner critic, or a younger version of you).
3. An abstract feeling (like guilt, fear, or a difficult life choice).

By speaking out loud, you bypass the brain's filters, allowing deep emotional processing and true relief to take place.

Depression doesn't just steal your joy; it steals your ability to start.
If you’re trapped in that heavy, frozen feeling where even the simplest tasks feel impossible, please don't beat yourself up. Your brain is dealing with a major energy deficit right now.

Instead of trying to force yourself to do everything, try the 10-Minute Rule.

Fold a few clothes.
Walk to the end of the street.
Reply to that one text.

Remember: Action precedes motivation, not the other way around.

Ever been told to "just calm down" when you’re furious? Yeah, doesn’t really work.

Anger is a high-energy emotion. When it floods your body, your nervous system goes into fight-or-flight mode.
Trying to sit still and breathe through it right away can sometimes feel impossible because that physical energy needs somewhere to go.

That’s where somatic release comes in.
These are a few therapist-approved techniques that help you safely channel and discharge that intense physical energy without hurting yourself, anyone else, or your valuable belongings.

Save this reel for the next time you feel the simmer turning into a boil.

Which one of these have you tried? Let me know in the comments!
