Sometimes, what we call “overthinking,” “people-pleasing,” “avoiding conflict,” or even “being too sensitive” is a pattern that once served a purpose.
Our minds learn from what we experience. They develop ways to keep us safe, accepted, prepared, or in control.
The difficult part?
A pattern that protected us once may quietly begin limiting us later.
Healing isn’t about blaming yourself for these patterns.
It’s about becoming curious about them.
What is this pattern trying to protect me from?
And do I still need it today?
Because you’re not broken.
You may simply be ready to grow beyond what you once needed to survive. 🤍
