"Stressed " Is "Desserts" Spelled backwards

Stress causes some people to ignore their hunger cues and refrain from eating for long stretches. For other people, stress turns them into emotional eaters who mindlessly munch. Some people overeat when they feel stressed, and other people lose track of their appetite!

When stress affects someone's appetite and waistline, the individual can forestall further weight gain by ridding the refrigerator and cupboards of high-fat, sugary foods. Keeping those "comfort foods" handy is just inviting trouble.

Countless studies show that meditation helps people become more mindful of food choices. With practice, a person may be able to pay better attention to the impulse to grab a fat- and sugar-loaded comfort food and inhibit the impulse.

Kichadi a wholesome meal!
During my childhood I use to make faces whenever there is kichadi in a meal time😣

But, eventually it has become my favorite food. Here i want to emphasis that your taste buds changes constantly so keep exploring dishes which you were not liking it & same you need to apply with your children. Keep trying new and old dishes to serve them they will also improve their taste buds.

Coming back to kichadi mine today's favorite food is combination of Moongdal kichadi with curd and papad.

Moong dal khichdi is light on stomach.

* it is energising and possesses healing properties.

* Turmeric added in khichdi is anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and a time-tested spice for healing the digestive system.

*Moong dal has high protein content and is known to be the lightest on stomach
Paired With urd helps digest food easily; thanks to the nutrients both the foods have.*

*khichdi topped with desi ghee provides the right amount of macro-nutrients, complex carbohydrates, protein and fats.

According to Ayurveda moongdal is Tridoshic in nature & can balance all 3 doshas in the body- Vata , pitta & kapha. It means this superfood can balance any disturbance in our body by naturally detoxifying the digestive system.
