This happens occasionally but happens!😅
I do have a good support system, but distractions still sneak in…And then I pause, refocus, and come back to the session.

Guess this is something many of my work-from-home moms relate to too?

It is important to talk about postpartum as well.

Bonding can take a while.
Your relationship with your partner may shift.
You may need more help than you expected.

All of this is normal.
All of this is common.
And yet, it is rarely spoken about or considered important enough.

Postpartum recovery is emotional too.
Support is available. You do not have to do this alone.

Save this for a new mom who needs to hear it.

✨ Fear of labour pain
✨ Work-life balance stress
✨ Feeling unsure about pregnancy
✨ Silent mom guilt

But these feelings are more common than you think and completely valid.
You don’t have to go through this silently. Your emotional health matters just as much as your physical health. 🤍

If this resonates, save it for later or share it with another expecting mom who needs to hear this today. 💛
Tell me in the comments which feeling surprised you the most?

Mom friends are important too.
We’re all in the same boat figuring out babies, life, exhaustion, and everything in between.
There’s comfort in knowing someone else is living the same chaos and the same joy.
These friendships remind us we’re not alone in this season.
Hold on to the moms who walk this journey with you, they make motherhood softer, lighter, and so much more beautiful. 🤍✨

Therapy can be really helpful for new parents. Various areas are affected and many a times what is brushed off as a normal issue can be resolved. Some of the many ways in which therapy helps includes the following.

1️⃣ Manages the emotional rollercoaster
Therapy helps you make sense of big feelings so you don’t feel overwhelmed all the time.

2️⃣ Improves sleep & stress handling
A calmer mind = better rest, better routines, and fewer anxiety spirals.

3️⃣ Strengthens your relationship
You learn to communicate, share responsibilities, and feel like a team again.

4️⃣ Reduces mom-guilt & dad-pressure
Therapy gives you realistic expectations and helps you drop the shame & comparison.

5️⃣ Builds confidence in parenting
You start trusting your instincts instead of questioning every decision.

✨ New parenthood is hard and you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy makes the transition gentler, calmer, and more connected. 🤍

You think stigma sounds like this?
Trust me... it’s way worse!
So many people skip getting help because of it.
Mental health struggles are real! and it’s TOTALLY okay to not be okay.
Let’s not force therapy... but let’s also not judge anyone who chooses it.

This recent case really disturbed me.
A 23 year old mom put her newborn in refrigerator. She was later diagosed with ‘postpartum psychosis’

Yes, baby is stable and safe. But I don’t know whether the mother is given the right care and support. The family thinks it has something to do with evil forces.

Coming to the point, what is postpartum psychosis?

It’s a serious mental health condition that typically affects a new mom and needs immediate medical attention.

How does it show up?

- sudden and extreme mood changes
- Hearing or seeing things that others cannot
- Feeling confused, disoriented, or unable to think clearly
- Feeling suspicious or scared without reason
- Talking very fast or having many thoughts at once
- Acting impulsive, unusual behaviour
- Finding it hard to focus or remember things very often
- Thoughts of harming self and/or the the baby

It usually starts within days or even weeks post childbirth. It definitely needs medical attention!

Before judging or shaming the mother, please undertand that this is a medical emergency. It’s a health issue.

If you observe these signs in you or around you. Please get help at the earliest.
