β¨ Bridging Classroom Learning with Pharmacy Practice! π₯
Principal K. M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy (KMKCP) organised a Hospital Visit for the Final Year B.Pharm students to Dr. L.H. Hiranandani Hospital, Powai on 5th August 2026 as part of the Practice School curriculum. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Rajani Athawale (I/c Principal) and organised by Dr. (Mrs.) Mrinal Sanaye, with assistance of Dr.Elvis Martis ,providing students with valuable exposure to real-world hospital pharmacy practices. ππ₯
Students gained first-hand experience of the OPD Pharmacy, IPD Pharmacy, Central Pharmacy Store, and the Pneumatic Chute System, while learning about medicine procurement, storage, inventory management, dispensing processes, medication safety, and the handling of emergency and controlled medicines. The visit offered meaningful insights into the workflow and coordination involved in ensuring efficient pharmaceutical services within a hospital setting. πβ¨
This enriching educational experience strengthened studentsβ understanding of hospital pharmacy operations and highlighted the vital role pharmacists play in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred healthcare. ππ
