FIMS by Nutritionist Dhvani Shah Hi,
I'm Dhvani Shah - a naturopathic nutritionist, author, speaker, product consultant, columnist & What does FIMS stand for? But food is much more….

We at The FIMS Clinic offer you the best in nutrition - amalgamating traditional indian, chinese & tibetian food wisdom along with modern research based dietetics. We have a Food cure for every need, for everybody - without using artificial supplements/ medicines or equipments! FIMS is short for Food is Medicine and Supplement!! It is generally believed that food is a substance consumed to provide nutritional support for the body. Food is of plant or animal origin and contains essential nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals. The substance is ingested by an organism and assimilated by the body cells in an effort to produce energy, maintain life, and/or stimulate growth and perform special functions. The fundamentals of dietetics are based on the multifaceted role of the food in the body. Food is probably the most frequently consumed 'drug' available to all without so much as a prescription. Disease prevention through nutrition and the use of herbals and a varied diet that includes a lot of vegetables and herbs is essential to achieving and maintaining better health. There is a growing awareness about the role of food in various conditions. Certain foods can act as cancer-blockers, antidepressants, diuretics, anticoagulants, painkillers, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory agents, tranquilizer and so much more. And these foods in turn can ward off headaches, arthritis, heart attack and stroke, colds, influenza, ulcers, cancers of many types, gallstones, constipation, and virtually most other disorders and afflictions you can think of. It is time we take our food more seriously!!!

Comment “CONSTIPATION” if this is something you deal with often. 👇

Constipation is one of the most common digestive issues but it’s often your body’s way of telling you something needs attention.

Support a healthier gut with these simple habits:
• Drink 2–3 litres of water every day.
• Aim for 25–35g of fibre from fruits, vegetables, whole grains and dals.
• Add chia seeds or flaxseeds to your meals.
• Include curd or homemade buttermilk if it suits your gut.
• Walk for 20–30 minutes daily.
• Don’t ignore the urge to p**p, try going at the same time every day, preferably after breakfast.
• Prioritise good sleep and stress management, as your gut and brain are closely connected.

A healthy bowel movement is usually soft, easy to pass, well-formed, and can occur anywhere from 3 times a week to 3 times a day.

If constipation lasts for more than 2–3 weeks, or you notice blood in your stool, severe abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, or persistent vomiting, consult a healthcare professional.

Stop blaming the food. Start looking at the timing. ⏰

The same food can affect your body differently depending on when you eat it.

That’s because your digestion, metabolism, hormones and even your liver work differently throughout the day.

This is what we call Food Intelligence!!
Understanding not just what to eat, but when, how, and what to pair it with.

A few simple timing changes can make your meals work with your body instead of against it.

Which timing tip surprised you the most? Tell us in the comments! 💚

Fatty liver, high cholesterol, blood sugar issues, most people think fixing this means giving up everything they love.

Bland food. No rice. No ghee. Hours at the gym.

It doesn't.
What actually reverses fatty liver:
→ Eating the right foods, at the right time suited to your needs
→ Fixing the root cause and not symptoms
→ deep hydration and not just drinking lots of water

No starving. No extreme restriction. Just the right plan, made for you, followed correctly.
