Dr Roshani Sanghani, Consultant Endocrinologist Dr. Roshani Sanghani is a US board certified Endocrinologist, and has over 15 years of clinical experience.

She uses education, motivation and empowerment to help her patients make lifestyle changes. I believe education, motivation and empowerment help my patients make informed choices and lifestyle changes. I give high priority to understanding the patient's barriers to change. While chronic conditions may not have cures yet; we can do much better at improving our priorities to regain charge of our lives. I love it when a patient needs less medication because they have achieved better health through sustainable lifestyle change! I practice evidence based medicine based on current US standards and am interested in quality of care improvement.

How often do you try to carve out one hour to get to the gym, only to end up skipping the entire workout because you don't have an hour to spare?
Do you think that holidays, stressful life situations, and work prevent you from taking care of your health?
This is not because you are lazy or making excuses. An ‘All or Nothing!’ rigid mindset is what makes people “fall off the wagon”.
There is actually no wagon to fall off from. .
The truth: Start with small, tiny steps that feel like you can do them today because they are easy, hopefully enjoyable and manageable. A flexible baby step that acknowledges your current reality and holds you accountable because you know WHY you want to do things differently. That’s how you move towards taking care of your health as a way of life.
So, to start, the thinking can shift to:
“If I don’t have time for a 1-hour workout at the gym, let me squeeze in a 20-minute workout at home.”,
“Let me go for a short walk after lunch when travelling.”, or
“Even on holiday, I can eat while listening to my body’s signals & stop eating when I am satisfied.”
Finding ways to take care of your health, especially when life gets busy, is key to cracking this as a lifestyle instead of an on-off relationship with exercise..
The Reisaan Way is to empower you to take care of your health in a way that improves your quality of life, not make it more stressful.
Are you ready to take decisions that help build the life you want?
By combining my expertise in hormones, metabolism & health with your expertise in your life situations, we can come up with a plan that is well suited for you!

On Maternal Health Awareness Day, let's talk about Postpartum Depression, a condition that is more common than we realize.

Your risk of developing PPD is about 20%. That means, in a group of five friends, one is likely to experience PPD symptoms.

The exact cause of PPD isn’t fully understood. After delivery, levels of hormones like progesterone, estrogen, and thyroid hormones shift rapidly. These changes can impact a mother’s mental health, resulting in the manifestation of PPD symptoms.

When you are in the depths of this condition, it can be easy to feel like you are alone or blame yourself for how you’re feeling. But nothing could be further from the truth.

PPD is a health condition. Not a weakness. Not a personal failure.

PPD gets better. With some self-compassion, love, and support, these symptoms can be managed.

Discuss your symptoms with your doctor. Talk to your loved ones.

You are not alone.

Travel Thursdays: Staying Active!
Did you know? Just 2 weeks without training can make you start losing muscle you had already built.
Would you like to prevent muscle losses even when you are traveling and away from home or your gym?
What can you do if your hotel doesn't have a gym?
Instead of worrying about these things, I do functional body weight workouts from the comfort of my own room when I am travelling.
I pack light-weight resistance bands to make these exercises more impactful.
If you are comfortable training with TRX bands or resistance tubes and can find a safe anchoring point in your room, you can increase the intensity of functional exercises.
With some planning, you can keep your strength investments while travelling and won't have to pay muscle tax!
Are you looking for ways to travel and come back rejuvenated mentally and physically?
I believe that healthy habits can fit your lifestyle and let you enjoy your life!
Stay tuned for my travel + health tips in my Travel Thursdays series!

Your body and organs work 24/7 to keep you functioning.
Your heart doesn’t think ‘ Ah, it is Christmas, I’ll take a break!’.
Your liver doesn’t stop & say “It is New Year’s Eve, let me start working again in 2026.”
Can you imagine if they did?
Then, why do we come up with these timelines to care for our bodies?
Why do we put off eating healthy, working out, or sleeping well because of the holidays?
How would life feel if taking care of your health becomes a way of life?
When you work with me, we co-create a plan suited for your life, that makes healthy living sustainable for you.

Our tastebuds exist for a reason.

Eating something to enjoy the flavours is not “wrong”.

The yo-yo thinking issue arises when we don't hold ourselves accountable.

Instead of feeling deprived by completely avoiding something or feeling guilty for eating “too much”, you can practice mindfulness by paying attention to each bite and checking in with your body about how many bites you need to enjoy the flavour!

Your body lets you know how much food works for you. Does your mind listen?

If it does, then there is no need to feel "guilty" or "cheat” anymore!

Enjoy the festivities without the guilt. Merry Christmas!
