Meditation is often perceived as calm, composed, and peaceful. But true meditation is not about feeling peaceful—it is about witnessing yourself.

When you begin observing yourself, sitting silently and doing nothing can feel surprisingly chaotic. We carry far more within us than we realise. While our outer life constantly reacts to the world around us, our inner being quietly collects every impression—moments of joy, painful memories, trauma, negativity, love, loss, and countless unprocessed emotions.

When we close our eyes, all that remains is the mirror of our own mind.

Facing unresolved emotions is not always comfortable. Looking at the past, knowing it cannot be changed, can be painful. The mind keeps swinging between positive and negative, right and wrong, attachment and resistance. This is the reality many encounter when they first begin meditating.

So, how do we become silent in meditation?

Silence is not achieved by force. It is cultivated through consistent practice—days, weeks, months, and years of patiently observing without reacting. Gradually, the fog begins to clear. As you courageously witness each layer of your conditioning, those layers begin to dissolve, revealing a deeper stillness that has always been within you.

This is why Kriya, Asana, and Pranayama are essential in the yogic tradition. They prepare the body, balance the breath, purify the mind, and create the inner stability needed for meditation.

Meditation is not an escape from yourself. It is the journey of meeting yourself completely.

Reuniting with Yourself – A Journey Within
Yoga Retreat PART 1 🌼

The yoga retreat, organised by Prana Healing Center for the Asan Yoga and ShreeYogVilla community, was created with one purpose—reuniting with yourself.

We began with a sacred welcome ceremony honouring the Pancha Tatvas through aarti (Agni), rose water (Jal), chandan tilak and kumkum (Ajna Chakra), flower offering, and gong grounding, preparing the body and mind for the journey ahead with detox water and a sattvic breakfast.

The retreat then moved into Mantra Chanting Meditation (Naad Yoga) around the havan kund, creating a space for silence, presence, and inner awareness.

At the heart of the retreat was one timeless question: "WHO AM I?"

Beyond our names, professions, and achievements lies our true nature. This retreat invited every participant to look within with honesty, embrace themselves without judgment, and reconnect with who they truly are.

Gratitude to every beautiful soul who courageously embraced this journey of self-discovery. May this enquiry continue long after the retreat ends.

Agnisar Kriya – Ignite Your Inner Fire 🔥

One of the most powerful cleansing practices in yogic science, Agnisar Kriya is an incredible way to awaken your energy from within.

For centuries, yogis have practiced Agnisar Kriya to support digestive health, strengthen the nervous system, balance energy, and keep the gut healthy.

This simple-looking technique requires complete control over the abdominal muscles, which develops only through consistent practice and proper guidance.

Agnisar Kriya involves holding the breath out while rapidly pumping the abdomen, stimulating Jatharagni (the digestive fire) and strengthening the abdominal organs. It is traditionally considered a cleansing practice that revitalizes both body and mind.

Practice Tips:
• Always practice on an empty stomach.
• Early morning, before your asana practice, is the ideal time.
• Learn and practice under the guidance of a qualified yoga teacher, especially if you are a beginner.

Sometimes, the greatest source of energy isn't another cup of coffee, it's learning to awaken the energy that already exists within you.
