A first for us at WCLC 2026! 🌏

We were fortunate to present our poster for the first time in Seoul, South Korea, with our team member Ms. Suchismita Das presenting it beautifully. In just one hour, we had 30–35 meaningful interactions, bringing us valuable feedback, perspectives, and learning.

It was a mix of positive and constructive takeaways—and that’s what makes this journey so meaningful. We are learning, evolving, and looking forward to taking our ideas to many more platforms. 💙

Patient voices belong at the table, not just in the room. 💙

At WCLC 2026 in Seoul, our team member Ms. Rasika Bombatkar joined a policy-focused panel as a patient advocate, bringing the lived experiences of the lung cancer community to the discussion.

The next steps that Rasika highlighted was to ensure systemic inclusion of patient advocates in research and policy and also mentioned that many gaps faced by patients five years ago still remain today and posed an important question:

“Are we involving enough patient advocates in research and public health guidelines?”

The need of the hour is clear — patient advocates must have a meaningful seat at the table when policies are shaped.

We are pleased to share that our Lead Counselor, Ms. Vandana Mahajan, took patient advocacy to the global stage as an invited speaker at WCLC 2026 in Seoul, South Korea.

She brought attention to the growing impact of air pollution, urbanization, and global warming on lung health, while highlighting the increasing incidence of lung cancer among non-smokers and the environmental factors affecting them.

Her voice strengthened Lung Connect India Foundation’s efforts towards patient advocacy, environmental awareness, and equitable lung cancer care, taking an important message from India to the global lung cancer community.

We are incredibly proud to see our advocacy efforts making an impact on the global stage. 🌏💙
