Your upper shoulder muscle isn’t always the villain.
One of the biggest mistakes I see is people constantly massaging or stretching the upper trapezius because it feels tight.
But here’s the interesting part…
Sometimes that muscle is tight because it’s working overtime to compensate for something else.
The real issue could be:
• Weak neck muscles
• Poor posture
• Shoulder blade weakness
• A stiff upper back
• Movement habits you’ve developed over time
If you only treat the tight muscle, the pain often returns.
The key is understanding why it’s tight in the first place.
Save this post for later, and share it with someone who keeps saying, “My neck is always tight.”
