Dry, burning eczema on both eyelids and the neck, spreading fast, and the usual creams hadn't helped. This is how one 43-year-old's skin changed over 13 months.

Mr. D.M., a businessman from Malad, came to Life Force Homeopathy, Borivali, on 1 January 2025. For about four months he'd had dry eczema patches on both eyelids, the right side of his neck and the corner of his left eye. The itching was severe, the skin burned, it was red and dry, and it was darkening where the eczema had been. He had already tried conventional treatment without relief. Stress at work and dry winter weather made it worse, and so did sweating on his face.

Dr. Rajesh Shah looked at the whole case, not just the patches on the skin, and planned constitutional homeopathic treatment along with diet advice and follow-ups every 6 to 8 weeks.

It wasn't a straight line. At the first follow-up the lesions around both eyes actually increased. By April the doctors recorded about 30% improvement, with less itching and redness, and he was told to moisturise often for the dryness. By August only occasional itching and slight darkening were left. In December the active eczema had cleared, at roughly 90% improvement. By February 2026 the documented lesions were clear and the pigmentation marks were fading.

A 33-year-old lab technician came to the Life Force Homeopathy Pimpri branch in January 2022 after more than three years of GERD with a suspected hiatus hernia. Every day she had burning in the upper abdomen and behind the breastbone, sour water brash, a bitter taste, nausea, chest tightness, throat irritation and bloating after meals. Nexpro-L, Razo-D and Rifagut, taken two or three times a week, gave only short relief.

Her complaints began in 2018 after a week of having large amounts of milk and ice cream. Skipped meals, oily and spicy food, sweets, stress, poor sleep and long working hours set them off.

Dr. Rajesh Shah, MD (Hom.) planned individualised homeopathic treatment that took in her digestion, triggers, anxiety, sleep and constitution. Progress was gradual: about 10 to 15% better in two months, 40 to 50% by April 2022, and fewer conventional medicines through 2022 and 2023. She stopped allopathic medicines in early 2024. Acid reflux, heartburn and GERD are often used as if they mean the same thing. They don't.

Acid reflux is stomach acid flowing back into the food pipe, usually because the lower oesophageal sphincter is weak. Heartburn is the burning in the chest or throat that reflux causes. GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) is reflux that keeps happening more than twice a week and needs longer-term management.

Apart from burning, GERD symptoms can include a sour or bitter taste, regurgitation, bloating after meals, hoarseness, frequent burping, a chronic cough and disturbed sleep. Large or late meals, spicy and fried food, too much caffeine or fizzy drinks, excess weight, pregnancy and ongoing stress can all make it worse.

Three bald patches in his beard, getting bigger over three months, and steroid treatment hadn't stopped them. That is how a 31-year-old software engineer came to Life Force Homeopathy in January 2025 with alopecia areata of the beard.

Dr. Rajesh Shah, MD (Hom.) looked at the person as well as the patches: short-tempered, very work-focused, anxious about the future, with a craving for sweets. The constitutional prescription included Lycopodium 30, and medicines were adjusted at regular follow-ups.

The timeline is worth reading if you are early in treatment and losing patience. At two months there was no visible change, and two patches had grown by about 10%. By four months the hair loss had stopped and new growth was starting. At six months around 80% regrowth was noted. 15 years of Ankylosing Spondylitis. 8 months of a documented treatment journey.

What does living with ankylosing spondylitis look like when pain and stiffness become part of everyday life?

This patient had been dealing with the condition for around 15 years, with persistent lower back pain, morning stiffness, neck and shoulder discomfort, and restricted flexibility. Prolonged sitting, travelling and his professional routine were also becoming uncomfortable.

He had previously tried conventional treatment and physiotherapy, which gave temporary relief, but the symptoms returned.
