Maybe the problem is not just patriarchy.
Maybe it’s who keeps protecting it.

A man can spend years avoiding accountability and still be called “young,” “confused,” or “stressed.”

But the women around him?
They are expected to adjust, absorb, nurture, forgive, regulate, and survive quietly.

And the moment a woman needs emotional support, suddenly she becomes “too much.”

This is not about hating men.
It’s about questioning why emotional responsibility inside families is so uneven.

Why are women expected to emotionally raise men…
while men resent emotionally supporting women?

Why do families stay silent before marriage…
but become experts on the woman after marriage?

Some uncomfortable conversations are long overdue.

We often think children learn from instructions.

But mostly… they learn from observation.

They watch:
how mothers abandon their own needs
how fathers suppress emotions
how love becomes linked with sacrifice
how overdoing gets praised

And then one day we wonder why the same child grows up exhausted, anxious, people pleasing, or emotionally disconnected.

Emotional patterns don’t just live in the mind.
They slowly shape the nervous system, the body, relationships, and even self-worth.

Sometimes healing begins the moment a parent says:

“I don’t want to pass this pattern forward.”

We grow up in families where we learn to shrink.

To not make it a big deal. To move on. To be strong.

And so we do. We move on. We function. We show up.

But somewhere underneath all of that — there’s a part of you that never got to say: that hurt me.

That part isn’t broken. It’s waiting.

This is the work. Not fixing yourself. Just finally hearing the parts of you that were never allowed to speak.

If this landed somewhere in your chest — save this. It was meant for you.

The untold tragedy of Rama is not exile.
It is emotional loneliness.
A life spent constantly choosing duty over self eventually creates a quiet disconnection within.
And many people know this feeling deeply.
The “good ones.”
The dependable ones.
The emotionally composed ones.
People admire them because they never fall apart.
But no one asks:
Where do all their emotions go?
Because carrying responsibility gracefully does not mean the burden is light.
And healing asks something many strong people struggle with:
Can you stop being a role for one moment…
and become a human being again?

Sometimes children’s movies say the things adults spend years trying to understand.

What stayed with me after The Sheep Detectives wasn’t the mystery.
It was the quiet truth underneath it:
that healing is not forgetting what hurt you.

Memory hurts because love existed first.

And maybe grief is not proof that something broke forever.
Maybe it’s proof that something mattered deeply. 💛

I have always felt an ancient connection to shamanism, even before I fully understood it.

Over the last eight weeks, I had the privilege of learning shamanic practices under Barkha Punjabi , and it has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life.

I still remember her saying on day one, “By the end of these eight weeks, you will not be the same person.” Today, I can honestly say how deeply true those words were.

This journey was so much more than learning practices. It was a journey back to myself.

Deeply grateful for the teachings, the transformation, and for you, Barkha ❤️

She learned to shrink her anger so others could stay comfortable. She learned to shrink her anger so others could stay comfortable.
And now she can’t say no without her heart racing.
This is not a character flaw. This is a wound.
When a child is punished — directly or silently — for being angry, she doesn’t stop feeling it. She just stops showing it. She learns that her discomfort is less important than everyone else’s peace.
And that lesson follows her everywhere.
Into the relationship where she says yes when she’s exhausted. Into the friendship where she absorbs and absorbs and never asks for anything back. Into the room where someone crosses a line and she smiles and says it’s fine.
Anger is a boundary with a voice. When you silence one, you silence the other.
Healing isn’t about becoming someone who loses her temper. It’s about becoming someone who can say — quietly, clearly, without guilt — this isn’t okay for me.
You are not broken. You are someone who learned to survive.
And surviving can be unlearned.

I know not everyone will agree with this. And that’s okay.

This is not an attack on faith.
It’s actually coming from a place of deep faith.

I believe in prayer.
I believe in energy.
I believe in God.

But I also believe spirituality without humanity becomes dangerous.

Somewhere along the way, we became more focused on controlling people’s food, bodies, periods, clothes, and rituals… than on becoming kinder, safer, more conscious human beings.

And I genuinely don’t believe God is more offended by eggs than by cruelty.

Faith should create compassion.
Not fear.
Not shame.
Not control.

Curious to know your thoughts — respectfully. 💛🙏

People remember Narasimha as the fierce avatar of Vishnu.

But somewhere underneath the mythology…
this is also the story of a child who was not safe at home.

Prahlada was raised by Hiranyakashipu — a powerful king whose need for control became greater than his ability to love safely.

And that changes a child deeply.

Because when fear lives inside the home,
the nervous system never truly rests.

Many children grow up in houses where they are provided for…
but emotionally unsafe.

Where anger is unpredictable.
Where words humiliate.
Where love feels conditional.
Where children learn to stay small, silent, hyperaware.

And then they grow into adults who:
• overthink every reaction
• fear conflict
• people please to stay safe
• struggle to trust themselves

This is why the story of Narasimha feels so powerful to me.

Because Narasimha is not just destruction.

He is protection arriving for a child whose fear had gone unseen for too long.

A reminder that children deserve more than food, education, and shelter.

They deserve emotional safety too.

Because a child who fears their parent does not grow up feeling loved.

They grow up surviving💛

We often think the Bhagavad Gita is about war.

But when you really read it…
it is about emotional conflict.

About what happens when the people causing you pain are also the people you love.

Arjuna’s breakdown was deeply human.
And Krishna’s guidance was not about revenge or suppression.

It was about staying rooted in truth without losing yourself in bitterness, guilt, or emotional collapse.

Maybe that is why these teachings still feel so relevant today.

Because so many people, especially women, are silently fighting battles inside their own homes while trying to keep everyone else comfortable.

And somewhere in the process… they forget themselves.

The Gita reminds us:
your dharma is not self-abandonment. 🌻
