𝙇𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙥𝙮 𝙐𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 is an academic platform dedicated to live surgical demonstrations, learning and knowledge-sharing in laparoscopic, robotic and minimal access surgery.

The conference brought together surgeons from across India, Mauritius, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The proceedings were relayed live to the auditorium at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and to 92 centres across India and abroad, reaching nearly 4,000 surgeons.

It was a privilege to demonstrate a Robotic Cholecystectomy at this prestigious event.

My sincere thanks to Dr Roy Patankar for the opportunity, Dr Avinash Supe for his guidance, and the entire Zen team for making this event possible.

Grateful to have been part of such a meaningful academic exchange and to share the platform with distinguished colleagues from across the region.

Cost is important. But in surgery, it should never be the only deciding factor.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
When you buy a phone, you compare features.
When you buy a car, you check safety ratings.
But when it comes to surgery, many people compare only the price.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
A higher price does not automatically mean better surgery.
But choosing surgery only because it is the cheapest can be risky.⁣⁣

⁣⁣
Many people believe hernias affect only men. They don’t.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Hernias in women are often overlooked or mistaken for other conditions. A 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 or 𝐚𝐛𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 should never be ignored, especially if it appears on standing, becomes more noticeable with coughing or straining, or comes and goes.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Early diagnosis allows timely treatment and may help prevent complications.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you notice a swelling or persistent discomfort in your groin or abdomen, consult a 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐧 for an appropriate clinical evaluation.⁣⁣

• Earlier return to work and daily life

We treat:
✓ Hernias
✓ Gallstones
✓ Appendix disorders
✓ Acid reflux (GERD)

The last reel from our Himachal trip.

We visited Langza, Key Monastery, Komic and Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office. We also saw Chandratal Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen, crossed the stunning Chicham Bridge, and returned through Sissu, Solang Valley and the Atal Tunnel.

Sometimes, even surgeons need to pause and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Another set of memories from our Spiti journey.

Khab Sangam, Gue Monastery, Tabo and Dhankar were all so different, yet each had something special to offer. The vast landscapes, ancient monasteries and the quietness of the mountains made this a trip I’ll remember for a long time.
