Many people think a child with ADHD is simply very active.
But ADHD in children can affect much more than activity level.
A child with ADHD may have difficulty with:
✅ Staying focused on a task
✅ Waiting for their turn
✅ Controlling impulses
✅ Remembering instructions
✅ Organising schoolwork or belongings
✅ Starting and finishing tasks
✅ Managing emotions and frustration
Some children with ADHD are very active.
Others may appear quiet, distracted or lost in thought.
That is why ADHD does not look the same in every child.
Being energetic or distracted sometimes does not automatically mean ADHD.
If attention, impulsivity or activity level is regularly affecting your child’s learning, relationships or daily routines, a professional assessment can help understand the reason.
