India’s first-ever integrated natural medicine and pain treatment center has been set up in the heart of Mumbai. The center offers an array of acupuncture treatments, ayurvedic remedies, and naturopathy.
The center is a much-needed relief for people who live in the city and are looking for ways to treat themselves other than with conventional medicine. Here, they can find solace in the holistic approach to healing.
Most importantly, the treatment addresses the underlying cause of the problem rather than just the symptoms.

The public and the scientific community are becoming more interested in natural health and pain management.
This form of medicine is based on a holistic approach that looks at not only an individual's physical health but their mental and emotional states as well.
Among others, the two main branches of natural health and pain management science are Internal Medicine and Physical medicine.
Internal medicine looks at the body from an internal standpoint, focusing on the function of organs, hormones, and other biological systems.
On the other hand, physical medicine takes a more external approach by looking at musculoskeletal issues and treatments such as massage or physical therapy to help alleviate pain or discomfort.
With so many possibilities available in this field of medicine, it's no wonder why natural health and pain management continue to be explored and embraced!

How often have you heard the phrase 'form follows function?'
The reality is that this adage has it all backward. In truth, form governs function, and how something is shaped informs what it can do and how it works.
The function then governs the form to ensure it gets the job done reliably and predictably.
Take computers, for example; they are basically just long strings of instructions that follow a specific logic – which is again dictated by form, to do calculations or display information on the screen.
As technology changes, so do the shapes. This lets us create new functions or find new ways to use the shapes we already have. It's a constant cycle of building on what you already know and using it to make something new!
Our human body is no different. Natural health and pain management utilize this concept by examining how our body's form dictates its functions.
By understanding what our bodies should look like, we can discover how to achieve optimal health and avoid the painful consequences of inappropriate treatments.

The Myofascial layer that surrounds all of us is often overlooked when it comes to its significance in health, but it could be the key to a better understanding of wellness.
Myofascia is a type of connective tissue that wraps around and supports the body's muscles, bones, nerves, and other organs.
This fascia helps with pain tolerance by providing support while the body experiences pressure or strain, and recent findings have shown that it can even affect our immune systems.
When healthy Myofascia is present, it can act as a cushion against stressors and help decrease inflammation; however, Myofascial dysfunction can lead to targeted pain and soreness, which makes experiencing daily activities difficult.
As researchers continue to uncover more about the potential benefits of Myofascia for our bodies and minds, it's interesting to consider how vital this tissue might actually be for overall health and well-being.

Pain is often the most prominent symptom associated with damage in this layer.
It's especially common when the fascia has been pulled or torn, as the tendons and muscles can inflame.
Not only does this cause pain, but it also affects mobility.
When the Myofascial layer becomes dysfunctional, our nerves and other organs cannot communicate correctly, which often leads to movement issues or chronic stiffness in our necks, shoulders, and other parts of our bodies.
Damage to this layer also makes us more likely to get hurt and makes us less effective overall as our range of motion gets smaller.
Thankfully, there are remedies out there to help us when dealing with these issues – treatments like acupuncture therapy that help restore balance to our nervous system and attain better alignment for improved performance.
Some of the most common problems when the fascia is damaged include
Headaches
Muscle pain and spasms
Chronic back and neck pain
Recurring injuries
Sciatica
Breathing difficulties & disorders
Sensations such as numbness and pins and needles
Poor posture and reduced flexibility
Digestive disorders
Circulatory and Cardiac disorders
Myofascial pain syndrome is a chronic pain disorder.
Complications associated with myofascial pain syndrome may include:
Sleep problems.
Fibromyalgia
Digestive Disorders
Respiratory Disorders
Cardiac and Circulatory Disorders
