There are a few patients and families who connect with you on a level built on mutual love, trust, and respect.
Every patient is cared for with the same commitment and compassion. Yet sometimes, a family’s unwavering faith in you becomes a powerful reminder that humility, patience, and kindness often matter just as much as medical expertise.
The most meaningful relationships in medicine are built over time, through trust and shared journeys.
This beautiful young lady is one of those special patients. I had the privilege of being present at her birth, and later at her sister’s as well. For the past 13 years, I have been blessed to be their primary care paediatrician.
Watching her grow into a karate champion who also excels academically, while remaining sweet, humble, and polite, fills me with immense pride.
Moments like these remind me that the strength, resilience, and spirit of a child can leave an unforgettable impact. They are among the greatest privileges of being a paediatrician.
