Sometimes life doesnโt move according to our carefully crafted timelines. And for a long time, I mistook that pause as a โnot yetโโฆ or worse, a quiet โno.โ
But this year reminded me that a delay is often nothing but a divine rearrangement. A gentle intervention to place you exactly where youโre meant to be, exactly when youโre meant to be there.
Earlier this year, while living in Dubai Marina, I watched a beautiful mosque being built stone by stone. Everyday while walking by, I would look at it with sincere intentions. โIn Ramadan, I will pray here,โ I thought. It felt like a small personal promise.
But Allahpaak had a different plan.
And a far kinder one.
Ramadan unfolded back home with my familyโฆ something I hadnโt experienced for 3 to 4 years. It was peaceful, grounding, and exactly what my heart needed, though I didnโt realise it at the time.
Thatโs the thing about divine timing. It rarely announces itself. It simply guides you quietly until the meaning becomes clear.
And now, months later, Iโm back in the UAEโฆ somehow in the same localityโฆ and today, with a very full heart, I walked into that very mosque for Friday prayers.
The then newly inaugurated Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Mosque in Dubai Marina welcomed me with a sense of completion and quiet gratitude.
As if life whispered, โSee? It was never a denial. Just a better moment waiting for you.โ
Warm heart. Infinite gratitude. And a gentle reminder: Whatโs meant for you will always arrive! Just not always on your schedule. โจ
