Heart Failure vs Heart Attack โค๏ธ๐ซ
Although the terms are often used interchangeably, heart failure and a heart attack are not the same.
A heart attack occurs when blood flow to a part of the heart is suddenly blocked, usually due to a clot in a coronary artery. It is a medical emergency that requires immediate treatment.
Heart failure, on the other hand, is a condition in which the heart is unable to pump blood efficiently to meet the body's needs. It can develop gradually or occur after damage caused by a heart attack or other heart conditions.
Knowing the difference can help you recognise symptoms early and seek timely medical care. When it comes to your heart, every minute matters.
