PCOS isn’t just about irregular periods.

It can affect insulin resistance, acne, weight, energy, hormones, and skin health.

How does PCOS affect the skin?

PCOS can increase androgen (male hormone) levels, which may cause excess oil production in the skin.

This can lead to acne, oily skin, clogged pores, and sometimes unwanted facial or body hair growth.

Insulin resistance, which is common in PCOS, may also contribute to skin issues such as acne and darkened skin patches (acanthosis nigricans).

7 supplements commonly used for PCOS:

Myo-Inositol + D-Chiro-Inositol

→ support insulin sensitivity and ovulation (typically taken morning and evening)

Vitamin D3

→ support hormone and metabolic health (best taken with a meal containing fat)

Omega-3

→ help reduce inflammation (best taken with meals)

Magnesium Glycinate

→ support sleep, stress, and blood sugar balance (often taken in the evening or before bed)

NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine)

→ antioxidant support for insulin resistance (commonly taken between meals or as directed)

Berberine

→ support healthy blood sugar levels (typically taken before or with meals)

CoQ10

→ support energy production and overall metabolic health

Remember: supplements work best alongside proper nutrition, sleep, exercise, and medical care.

Which PCOS symptom are you struggling with most: acne, weight gain, hair loss, skin issues, or irregular periods?

❄️ Your AC keeps you cool... but it might be drying out your skin.

Constant exposure to air conditioning can reduce indoor humidity, leaving your skin dehydrated, your lips chapped, your hair dry, and even irritating your eyes and respiratory tract.

The good news? A few simple changes can make a big difference:
💧 Keep a bucket or bowl of water in the room.
🌿 Use a humidifier to restore moisture to the air.
💙 Stay hydrated and don't skip your moisturizer.

In this reel, Dr. Namrata Ghai explains how air conditioning affects your skin and health—and what you can do to protect yourself.

Healthy skin isn't just about skincare... it's also about the environment you live in.

Comment BALDNESS to get the essential test list before your next hair appointment. ✅

If your hair is thinning and you are only buying serums, you are treating the mirror, not the cause. 🧠

Most male hair loss is not random shedding. It is biology plus triggers.
DHT sensitivity. Insulin spikes. Thyroid shifts. Low ferritin. Low vitamin D. Inflammation.

That is why I care about labs. Not because I love reports. Because your scalp is an organ. It reacts to what your blood is doing. 🩸

A few numbers I look at first
DHT often 30 to 85 ng per dL
Fasting insulin “better” under 10 microIU per mL
TSH commonly 0.4 to 4.0 mIU per L
Vitamin D many aim 30 to 50 ng per mL
Ferritin for hair I like it comfortably repleted, often 70 plus ng per mL
hs CRP under 1 is ideal

My honest take
If you never checked these, you are guessing.
And most men waste months guessing. Money goes. Hair goes. Confidence goes.

Do this like a grown man with a plan
Get the labs. Read them with your dermatologist. Fix the basics first. Sleep. Protein. Waist. Stress.
Then decide if you even need meds like finasteride or dutasteride.

🔥 Your skin might be inflamed... and it's trying to tell you.

Redness, persistent acne, sensitivity, itching, dryness, or sudden breakouts aren't always "normal"—they can be signs of underlying skin inflammation.

Healthy skin starts with a healthy skin barrier. 💛
