Skipping meals to "save calories" or save time may not be doing your gut any favours.

Your digestive system works best with consistency. According to Ayurveda, eating at regular times helps support healthy digestion. When meals become irregular, many people experience bloating, fatigue, acidity, or digestive discomfort.

👉The solution isn't eating less. It's eating at the right time for your body.

According to Ayurveda, having tea or coffee before eating can aggravate acidity and irritate the digestive system in some people. Over time, this may contribute to acidity, nausea, or frequent digestive discomfort.
Instead, try starting your morning with warm water. It's a simple habit that gives your digestive system a gentler start.

Ending your meal with a fruit bowl feels healthy, but the timing might be working against you.

Fruit digests in 20-30 minutes, much faster than a full meal. When it's eaten right after food, it gets stuck behind everything else and starts to ferment, which is often the real reason behind that post-meal bloating.

👉 The fix is simple: eat fruit on an empty stomach, ideally 30-45 minutes before your meal, not after.

Follow Vedique Diet for more simple, everyday wellness habits.

That glass of cold water with your meal may not be doing your digestion any favours.
In Ayurveda, digestion is powered by Agni or your digestive fire. Drinking very cold water with meals is believed to weaken Agni, making digestion less efficient and contributing to discomfort like bloating and heaviness in some people.

👉 A simple switch to room-temperature or warm water during meals may help support comfortable digestion.

Small daily habits can make a big difference over time.

Reusing cooking oil may seem harmless, but repeated heating changes its composition.

When oil is heated again and again, it breaks down and forms harmful compounds that can irritate the gut lining and contribute to inflammation over time.

A simple habit can make a big difference. Whenever possible, cook with fresh oil instead of reheating the same batch.

Small changes in your kitchen can have a lasting impact on your gut health.

Your gut has a wall that's just one cell thick, yet it decides what enters your bloodstream and what stays out.

When it's healthy, it lets nutrients in and keeps toxins out. But when this barrier becomes weak, unwanted particles can slip through, leading to bloating, skin issues, brain fog, fatigue, and more.
Most people blame the food. The real issue often starts with the gut barrier.

In our next video, Doctor Prerna Breaks down the 5 everyday habits that could be silently damaging your gut.

It's National Mango Day, but here's something most people don't know: not every mango suits every body.

According to Ayurveda, the type of mango that's best for you depends on your Prakriti and here Dr. Jyoti explains how to choose the right one.

👉 Kachha Aam (Raw Mango): Best suited for Kapha Prakriti. It works as a natural appetizer and is traditionally used to help protect the body from heat stroke.

👉 Pakka Aam (Ripe Mango): Best suited for Vata and Pitta Prakriti. It's naturally nutrient-dense and is considered a nourishing tonic for healthy skin and reproductive health.

No matter which mango you love, there's one Ayurvedic rule everyone can follow: soak your mango before eating and enjoy it in the afternoon, when your Agni (digestive fire) is at its strongest.

So, this National Mango Day, don't skip your favourite fruit. Simply enjoy it in the way your body appreciates most.

And if you don't know your Prakriti, comment "PRAKRITI" and we'll help you discover your body type.

It wasn't just a habit. It was wisdom passed down through generations.

Many of our traditional food practices had a purpose, long before we understood the science behind them. Sometimes, the simplest rituals are the ones our bodies benefit from the most.
