What actually happens during a chiropractic adjustment? 🦴

A chiropractic adjustment isn’t simply about “cracking” your back.

Before an adjustment, your symptoms, movement and overall condition should be assessed to determine whether it’s appropriate for you.

Depending on your needs, care may include:

- Chiropractic adjustments
- Exercise therapy
- Education about movement and posture
- Other appropriate treatments

Not every pain needs an adjustment. The right treatment starts with the right assessment.

Save this if you’ve ever wondered what actually happens during a chiropractic visit.

Every physiotherapist has heard this at least once. 😂

The assumptions never stop. 😭

World Arthritis Day 🦴

Arthritis doesn’t have to mean giving up on movement.

With the right guidance, appropriate exercise and consistent care, you can work towards better mobility, strength and confidence in everyday life.

Move better. Stay stronger. Take action.

If joint pain or stiffness is affecting your daily activities, don’t simply ignore it as “part of getting older.” Get it assessed.

We often say, “Umar ho gayi hai, toh aisa toh hoga hi.”

But some changes in your parents’ back or legs shouldn’t simply be dismissed as age.

- Legs feeling heavy after a short walk
- Difficulty getting up from the floor or toilet seat
- Pain that disturbs sleep
- Tingling or numbness in the feet
- Fear of falling or difficulty maintaining balance

These symptoms can have different causes and deserve proper attention.

It’s not always “just age.”

A timely check-up can help understand what’s really going on and what kind of care may be appropriate.

❤️ If you’ve noticed these signs in your parents, don’t ignore them.

World Mental Health Day 🧠💚

Pain and stress can affect how we move, sleep, work, and go about our everyday lives.

Taking care of your health also means listening to your body, staying active when you can, resting when you need to, and giving yourself enough time to recover.

You don't always have to push through. Sometimes, recovery starts with a pause.

Take care of your mind. Take care of your body. Take care of yourself. 💚

Dry Needling: What is it actually for? 🪡

Dry needling is a physiotherapy technique that uses thin, sterile needles to target specific muscles or myofascial trigger points.

It may be used to help manage:
• Muscle tightness
• Trigger points
• Myofascial pain
• Movement-related discomfort
• Reduced muscle mobility

The goal is to stimulate the affected area and help reduce muscle tension and pain sensitivity, while supporting better movement.

And no, dry needling is not the same as acupuncture. It is based on musculoskeletal assessment and is commonly used as part of a broader physiotherapy treatment plan.

Some people may experience a brief prick, muscle twitch, or mild soreness afterward.

The technique should always be performed by a properly trained professional after assessing whether it is appropriate for you.

Dry needling is a tool, not a magic fix. The right treatment depends on the cause of your problem.

Save this post if you’ve been wondering what dry needling actually does. 🪡

After an injury and surgery, fear of movement can sometimes become another barrier to recovery.

In this patient’s case, shoulder movement was severely limited after surgery. Everyday activities like doing her hair and managing routine work had become difficult, and painkillers were part of her earlier routine.

With consistent physiotherapy over the past two months, she has seen significant improvement in movement, independence and pain levels. She now reports around 80% overall relief and is able to manage many daily activities more independently.

💡 Recovery doesn’t always mean pushing through pain. The right rehabilitation approach can help restore movement, confidence and function gradually.

Don’t let fear of movement become a permanent limitation.

Save this for someone recovering after an injury or surgery. 💚

Chiropractic care is about more than just adjustments. 🌿

It can also involve mobility, strength, exercise, balance, posture, movement, manual therapy, soft tissue work and more, depending on the individual’s needs.

A broader approach can help support better movement and function. 💚

Save this for later & share it with someone who thinks chiropractic is only about adjustments.

Neck hump ≠ always a posture problem. 👀

A bump at the base of your neck can have different causes and understanding the difference matters.

🔹 Dowager’s hump - often associated with forward head posture, rounded shoulders and changes around the lower cervical/upper thoracic region. Improving posture, mobility, strength and movement habits can help.

🔹 Buffalo hump - usually relates to fat tissue accumulation in that area and may need a different approach altogether.

The important part? Don’t assume every neck hump can be fixed with exercises or chiropractic care alone.

Your first step should be understanding what’s actually causing it.

Save this post for later 📌 and share it with someone who has been wondering about their neck hump.
