What happens AFTER a diabetes diagnosis gets discussed often.

But what about the 10 silent years BEFORE the diagnosis?

Diabetes rarely appears overnight.

The diagnosis is often the final chapter of a story the body has been trying to communicate for years.

Your body whispers before it screams.

Early prevention is not just about sugar.

❤️ DM “PREDICT” and I’ll send you a checklist of early metabolic signs people often ignore for years before diabetes diagnosis. 📌MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW ME, LIKED THIS POST & SHARETHIS POST ON YOUR WALL SO THAT KNOWLEDGE CAN REACH TO MAXIMUM.

📌 In Part 2, I’ll share:
• why blood sugar test is giving full picture & in fact misleads sometimes
• important laboratory tests & metabolic markers people should not ignore and 90% doctors are not doing it

👉 Follow so you don’t miss the next part.

Because prevention should begin BEFORE the diagnosis.

Honoured to conduct a talk on “ versus – What’s in the Name?” at the Mother’s Day celebration organised at Fortis Hospital Gurugram.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Juhi Saxena for the kind invitation and for beautifully organising such a meaningful event.

The day was much more than just academic discussions — it was a celebration of women, mothers, health, emotions, and community. From the adorable drawing competition by kids, appreciation of mothers, duo ramp walk, music therapy session, to reconnecting with colleagues — every moment added warmth to the event.

It was also wonderful listening to Dr. Nikita Sobti ma’am and sharing the stage with such inspiring professionals.

Grateful for the opportunity to speak about looking beyond labels and understanding women’s health through a more holistic, and multisystem lens.

If you also wanna about the same, read my previous post.

This World Hypertension Day, Look beyond the cuff reading.

Understand the cause.

We often talk about blood pressure like it’s just a number.

And we often blame only one thing: salt.

But what if the story is much bigger?

Hypertension is not always as “simple” as we once thought.

📚Swipe through this carousel to understand one of the most fascinating metabolic connections behind blood pressure that deserves more public awareness.

📮COMMENT “HABITS ” (first follow and like the post) to get DM of daily habits that might be contributing more than your salt.

For years, many of us in clinical practice have seen something interesting:

Patients walking in with
✔ irregular periods
✔ weight fluctuations
✔ acne or hirsutism
✔ insulin resistance
✔ fatigue
✔ infertility concerns
✔ metabolic dysfunctions

…but sometimes without visible ovarian cysts.

And that often created confusion for patients:

“How can it be PCOS if there are no cysts?”

That’s why this recent shift from PCOS to Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) feels clinically meaningful.

Because the condition was never only about “cysts.”
It has always been far more systemic, involving:
• endocrine health
• metabolic health
• reproductive health
• mental health
• long-term cardiometabolic risks

As a clinician working closely in pelvic, menstrual, metabolic, and lifestyle health, I’ve often observed that many patients struggle more with:
➡ insulin resistance
➡ chronic inflammation
➡ sedentary lifestyle patterns
➡ stress & sleep disturbances
➡ metabolic dysfunctions

than with the ovarian findings themselves.

Sometimes the ultrasound becomes the loudest part of the diagnosis… while the metabolic story quietly continues in the background.

This renaming to PMOS may help shift healthcare conversations toward a more holistic, multidisciplinary understanding of the condition.

And perhaps help many patients finally feel seen beyond just the word “cysts.”
