Eating disorders are about much more than food. 🧠💙

They can affect the way a person thinks about food, their body, self-worth, and everyday life. Conditions like Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge-Eating Disorder, and ARFID can impact both mental and physical health.

Some signs may not always be visible. Changes in eating habits, intense concerns about weight or body image, avoiding social situations involving food, or changes in mood and energy can all be important signs to notice.

Most importantly, eating disorders are mental health conditions—not a choice or simply a matter of willpower. With understanding, professional support, and early intervention, recovery is possible. 🌿

Let’s create a space where people feel safe to talk, seek help, and heal without judgment. 🤍

🌿 Understanding Developmental Disorders

Developmental disorders can affect how a person learns, communicates, behaves, moves, and interacts with the world. Every individual experiences these differences in their own way, and with the right understanding and support, they can learn, grow, and thrive. 💙

Early recognition can make a meaningful difference. Instead of focusing only on challenges, it is important to recognize strengths, encourage communication, celebrate progress, and create an environment where every individual feels supported and included.

Different minds. Bright futures. 🤍

Save this post to learn about common types, early signs, and ways you can support someone with a developmental disorder.

Depersonalization: when you feel disconnected from yourself or the world around you. 🧠💙

It can feel strange, confusing, or even frightening—but experiencing depersonalization does not mean you’re “losing your mind.” It can be a response to overwhelming stress, anxiety, trauma, or other factors.

Understanding what you’re experiencing is an important first step. With the right support and professional guidance, it can be managed and treated. 🌿

You are still you. And your feelings matter.

D for Delusional Disorder | A–Z Mental Health Series 🧠
Not every strongly held belief is based in reality. Delusional Disorder is a serious mental health condition where a person experiences persistent false beliefs despite clear evidence to the contrary.
Remember: This isn’t stubbornness or “overthinking.” It’s a condition that deserves empathy, understanding, and professional support—not judgment.

Conduct Disorder is more than simply being “naughty” or “difficult.” It involves a persistent pattern of serious behavioural difficulties that can affect relationships, education, family life, and social functioning.

Early identification and appropriate professional support can help children and adolescents develop healthier ways of managing emotions, relationships, and behaviour. 💙

🧠 A TO Z DISORDER SERIES | C — Cognitive Disorder

What happens when thinking, memory, attention, language, or decision-making starts becoming difficult? 💭

Cognitive disorders can affect the way a person remembers, concentrates, communicates, solves problems, and manages everyday activities. They can have different causes, including neurological conditions, brain injuries, medical conditions, certain medications or substances, and other factors.

The symptoms may look different from person to person — from memory loss and confusion to difficulty planning, finding words, staying focused, or making decisions. 🌱

Early evaluation and the right support can make an important difference. Most importantly, cognitive difficulties are not simply something to ignore or dismiss as “normal aging.” 🤍

Let’s create more awareness, understanding, and compassion around mental and cognitive health. ✨

🧠 A TO Z DISORDER SERIES | C — Childhood Amnesia

Why can’t we remember most of our earliest childhood years? 💭✨

Childhood amnesia is a normal part of human memory. Most people have difficulty recalling clear autobiographical memories from their earliest years, especially before around age 3–4. This happens as the brain, language abilities, sense of self, and memory systems continue to develop. 🌱

You may not remember the complete event, but you might still remember a feeling, an image, a familiar place, or little fragments from those early years. And that’s completely okay. 🤍

Your childhood memories don’t have to be complete for your experiences to have mattered. What matters is how we grow, heal, and create meaningful memories today. 🌸

Save this post & share it with someone who has ever wondered, “Why don’t I remember being a child?” 💗
