When can you return to work after spine surgery?

Recovery after spine surgery is gradual and depends on your surgery, spinal stability and overall health. Walking, physiotherapy, proper posture and following your surgeon’s precautions can support a safe return to daily activities.

For many patients, work from home or office work may resume gradually within a few weeks, while returning to normal activities can take around 2 to 3 months. Your individual recovery plan should always be decided by your treating surgeon.

This remarkable process is known as neuroplasticity. It allows the brain to form new neural connections and adapt in response to learning, experiences, and certain changes or injuries.

Understanding neuroplasticity helps us appreciate the brain’s ability to change throughout life and highlights the importance of appropriate rehabilitation and consistent care when recovery is needed.

We believe that understanding the brain is an important step toward better neurological care.

Early evaluation can make a difference. If you or your loved one is experiencing symptoms suggestive of a brain hemorrhage, seek urgent medical attention.

Your spine supports you every day. Are you supporting your spine?

Long hours of sitting, poor posture, and limited movement can gradually put extra stress on your spine — and may contribute to recurring back pain.

But persistent back pain shouldn’t simply be ignored, especially when it is accompanied by numbness, weakness, or pain travelling down the leg.

Understanding the cause is the first step toward getting the right care.

Take your spine health seriously. Get the right evaluation and don’t let persistent pain become your normal.
