During pregnancy, “eat more protein” is advice you’ll hear quite often.

But meeting your protein needs doesn’t always have to mean calculating grams or planning complicated meals.

A simple approach is to make sure your major meals have a protein source alongside the food you already enjoy—whether it’s paratha, cheela, chole bhature, dal or rice.

In this reel, I’m sharing an easy way to make your everyday pregnancy meals more protein-friendly, without making your diet feel restrictive or complicated.

Sometimes, a small change in how you build your plate can make a big difference. 🌸

Continuing our pregnancy series, let’s talk about some important things to keep in mind during the second month of pregnancy. 🤰🏻

Once your pregnancy test is positive, book an appointment with your doctor, start your folic acid, stay hydrated, and listen to your body. You don’t need to force yourself to eat when nausea or food aversions make eating difficult.

And please remember—this is a very important phase of pregnancy because your baby’s major organs are beginning to develop.

There are a few more things you should be careful about during these early weeks. Watch the full video to know what they are.

One of the most common things I hear after delivery is, “My back pain started because of the spinal.”

Spinal anaesthesia often gets blamed for back pain that happens after pregnancy, but there is much more to the story.

Pregnancy itself brings changes in weight, posture, hormones and core strength. And after delivery, repeatedly lifting and feeding the baby can put additional strain on the back.

So where does the spinal needle actually fit into all this?

In this reel, I explain what happens when spinal anaesthesia is given, what kind of discomfort can be expected afterwards, and why it may not be the cause of long-term back pain.

“Should my husband be in the labour room?”

This is a personal decision every couple should make based on comfort, hospital policies, and what feels right for them.

But having your partner beside you during labour can mean more than just physical presence. It can provide emotional reassurance, help the mother feel supported, and give the father a deeper understanding of what childbirth actually involves.

In this video, I explain why partner support during labour can make such a meaningful difference—and why childbirth is not just the day a baby is born, but the beginning of a new family.

“Doctor, I want my baby to be fair. What should I eat?” 🤰

This is one of the most common pregnancy myths I hear.

Coconut water, saffron, jamun, and countless other foods are often linked to a baby’s complexion. But can what you eat during pregnancy actually determine your baby’s skin colour?

In this video, I explain the science behind this common belief and why we need to focus on something far more important than complexion when it comes to our baby’s health.

Watch the full video and share it with someone who still believes these pregnancy myths. 🤍
