The District-Level Launching Programme of World Breastfeeding Week 2026 was conducted today at Boginadi Model Hospital, Lakhimpur.

The programme was graced by the presence of Dr. Jayanta Dutta, SDM&HO (SH); Dr. Anu Sonowal, SDM&HO, Boginadi BPHC; Dr. Bhupen Saikia, Deputy Superintendent, Boginadi Model Hospital; Mr. Debanga Vikash Gogoi, District Programme Manager (DPM), NHM, Lakhimpur; Mr. Ratul Dihingia, District Media Expert (DME), NHM, Lakhimpur; along with officials from the BPMU, ANMs and ASHAs.

The programme highlighted the importance of breastfeeding in ensuring optimal nutrition, promoting healthy growth and development of infants and improving maternal and child health outcomes.
